ACC play continues on Sunday for NC State with an away game at Clemson.

On Sunday afternoon, Clemson will host NC State in an ACC matchup at Jervey Gym as the teams look to move up in the conference standings. The Tigers have struggled in ACC play this season and are dead last in the standings with a winless 0-9 record against conference opponents and an overall record of 8-12. On Friday night, the team hosted Wake Forest, falling in four sets in front of 574 fans. Aźyah Dailey led the Clemson offense with 12 kills while Neea-Maria Joki followed closely behind with 10 kills. The team was held to a hitting percentage of just .134 in the loss. Wake Forest only hit for .197, but it got the job done despite strong defensive efforts from Katherine Sandt who finished the game with a team-high 23 digs.

The Wolf Pack is sitting comfortably in the middle of the ACC standings with a conference record of 5-4 and an overall record of 10-7. The team will look to get back on the winning side of things on Sunday as it has lost its last two matches with the last time on the court being a straight set loss to No. 17 Georgia Tech on Friday night. Amanda Rice was the only hitter in double figures with 14 kills on 25 swings for the team to finish with a collective hitting percentage of .154. Defensively, Skye Stokes did her best to hold down the back court, but she only came up with 11 digs as Georgia Tech hit .303 against the Wolf Pack.

NC State has won the last two meeting against Clemson which both took place last season. The all-time series now stands at 24-16 in Clemson’s favor.
