The Lady Vols have not got off to an ideal start this season and are still in search of their first win. The team opened the season with a match against No. 7 Penn State, falling in four sets in front of record crowd of 6,193. Paityn Chapman led the offense with 12 kills and Hayden Kubik added 11, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Nittany Lions.

The team went on to play No. 6 Louisville, dropping the match in straight sets. It wasn’t all bad against the Cardinals, however, as transfer outside hitter Nina Cajic reached the 1000-kill mark in the loss. Despite the 0-2 record, the team holds strong in the Top 25 as the losses came against two stellar opponents. The Lady Vols hope to get back on the winning side of things and improve their overall record before SEC competition begins in just three weeks.

Tune in Thursday night as Tennessee looks to bounce back and pick up its first win in front of a home crowd.
