The United States host the first two games of the series. The first game was held in Cleveland, OH where the U.S. dominated 4-1, as they go for a commanding 2-0 series lead tonight in Buffalo, NY. We will have to wait another month for this series to continue, where it will shift to Canada. Games 3 and 4 will happen on Dec. 10 and 13 from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta which is the home of the Edmonton Oilers.

The United States were propelled to victory most by Abbey Murphy from the University of Minnesota. Murphy showed out notching a hat trick to give the United States all the offense it would need. Taylor Heise from the Minnesota Frost orchestrated much of the offense behind the scenes for Team USA. Team Canada’s Sarah Fillier scored on a power play goal for the first goal of the game at 9:27, but they couldn’t score the rest of the night. Aerin Frankel of the Boston Fleet, was great in net stopping 25 shots. This is the sixth edition of the Rivalry Series between these two which Canada won in the inaugural edition in 2019. Can Canada tie this series, before they become host next month?
