Canada and Argentina will meet for the second time in four days as they play an international friendly on Tuesday night.

Canada will welcome Argentina to Starlight Stadium on Tuesday night for the second international friendly matchup between the two teams in four days as the teams meet at the home of Pacific FC and Rugby Canada. In the teams’ opening meeting on Friday night, the Canadians dominated with a 3-0 victory behind strong offensive play. The team will look to bring a bit more creativity on Tuesday night despite the win in the first meeting. Jade Rose struck first with a goal in the 24th minute to give Canada the lead after the squad settled into play a bit. Fifteen minutes later, Nichelle Prince followed with a goal to make it 2-0 with just six minutes remaining in the first half.

Argentina came out in the second half a bit more organized allowing to produce more offense, but were unable to find the back of the net with the strength of Kailen Sheridan in net. Julia Grosso netted the final goal of the match with only three minutes remaining in regulation. Adriana Leon dominated for the Canadians in the match, getting cheeky offensively, but was unable to finish any of her many, many shots.

Leon was frustrated with her performance after missing by inches on multiple occasions, but is looking forward to Tuesday night’s game to change the outcome. Head coach Casey Stoney will look for improvement in the final third, connecting more passes and moving off the ball a bit more to create those quality opportunities over quantity.

Tune in on Tuesday night as the teams take to the pitch again and look to add another win to their tally in 2025.
