Harvard has one of its biggest obstacles to an undefeated regular season going for the Ivy League title, when it faces Yale.

Harvard looks to keep its undefeated season alive going into its biggest rivalry game on Saturday afternoon, when they travel to take on Yale. The Crimson have been dominating in Ivy League contests with a 6-0 record, and they’re 9-0 overall. Most of those games haven’t been even remotely close. But that all changed last week, when Harvard squeaked by Penn by a 45-43 final last Saturday to stay undefeated. This game is in no way a given for the Crimson, as Yale is 7-2 with a 5-1 Ivy League record. What is even more, is the Bulldogs are working to improve on a five-game winning streak. Yale is also coming off a tight win, beating Princeton in a 13-10 final. The Bulldogs only conference loss came off a one-point loss to Dartmouth over a month ago. Expect another one-score contest between these two historic rivals.

This impressive undefeated season for Harvard has been largely fueled by QB Jaden Craig. That was exactly the case with a come-from-behind win against Penn last week. The game ended a on a walk-off 53-yard field goal to give the Crimson at least a share of the Ivy League title. This is Harvard’s 20th Ivy League championship in program history, and it is the third in a row for the Crimson. This is the best season for Harvard since 2014. The Quakers went up a point with just 22 seconds left on the clock, as the Crimson’s first loss of the season looked imminent. Craig threw passes of 21 and 18 yards to get to the Penn 35, and set up kicker Kieran Corr for his career-best field goal. Craig finished with 390 passing yards with three touchdowns. Running back Xaviah Bascon passed the century mark and added two touchdowns, to balance out the attack.

Yale also beat Princeton last week by a field goal, with Noah Piper hitting a 37-yarder with 3:50 left in regulation. Running back Josh Pitsenberger scored the lone touchdown of the day for the Bulldogs, while rushing for 106 yards on 24 carries. Yale QB Dante Reno threw for 154 yards, but he threw two interceptions on the day. The Bulldogs are going to have to be mistake free to keep up with this Harvard offense, if they’re going to take a share of this Ivy League title.
