The Devil at 4 O'Clock
Prisoners Harry (Frank Sinatra), Marcel (Gregoire Aslan) and Charlie (Bernie Hamilton) are flown to a small tropical island to serve the elderly Father Doonan (Spencer Tracy), who makes them work high in the mountains at a health clinic for local children. When a volcano erupts, the young patients are stranded, while the rest of the island's population flees. When Doonan offers to free the convicts if they help save the children, Harry leads his fellow convicts on a daring rescue mission.
Paula
After her second miscarriage, Paula Rogers (Loretta Young) learns she is sterile. On the way to a reception for her professor husband, John (Kent Smith), a distraught Paula accidentally hits an orphan (Tommy Rettig) with her car. Thinking Paula is drunk, farmer Raymond Bascom (Will Wright) takes the boy to the hospital. Unwilling to confess her role in the hit-and-run for fear of derailing John's career, Paula volunteers at the hospital and helps Davey recover without admitting her guilt.
Jason and the Argonauts
After saving the life of his royal father's usurper, Pelias (Douglas Wilmer), whom he fails to recognize, Jason (Todd Armstrong) is encouraged by the conniving murderer to begin a quest in search of the Golden Fleece. In doing so, Pelias hopes for Jason's death to thwart the prophecy that he will reclaim the throne. Along the journey, Jason is protected by the goddess Hera (Honor Blackman), and his crew includes Hercules (Nigel Green) and Acastus (Gary Raymond), a saboteur planted by Pelias.

Pal Joey
Joey Evans (Frank Sinatra) is a philandering San Francisco-based singer with big dreams of starting his own night club, Chez Joey, but chasing women keeps him even more occupied. Despite making a meaningful connection with lovely chorus girl Linda English (Kim Novak), it doesn't stop him from seducing the wealthy widow, and ex-burlesque dancer, Vera Simpson (Rita Hayworth), who he hopes will bankroll his club. Libidinous Hogan (Jack Lemmon) is a landlord who prefers to rent his rooms to attractive single females. Hogan is instantly smitten with a pretty new tenant named Robin (Carol Lynley), but realizes that he'll have to contend with Robin's boyfriend, David (Dean Jones), if he's to attain the object of his desire. He gets his opportunity when he learns that the couple's living arrangement is a pre-marital experiment to see if they would be compatible as partners when sex is out of the equation.

When Joanna Drayton (Katharine Houghton), a free-thinking white woman, and black doctor John Prentice (Sidney Poitier) become engaged, they travel to San Francisco to meet her parents. Matt Drayton (Spencer Tracy) and his wife Christina (Katharine Hepburn) are wealthy liberals who must confront the latent racism the coming marriage arouses. Also attending the Draytons' dinner are Prentice's parents (Roy E. Glenn Sr., Beah Richards), who vehemently disapprove of the relationship.
