Scandal Sheet
Editor Mark Chapman (Broderick Crawford) presides over a trashy but financially successful tabloid newspaper in New York City. With his hotshot crime reporter, Steve McCleary (John Derek), and feature writer, Julie Allison (Donna Reed), Chapman attends a Lonely Hearts Club publicity stunt sponsored by the paper, where he's shocked to run into Charlotte (Rosemary DeCamp), the wife he abandoned two decades before. Their argument takes a violent turn that might ruin everything Chapman has.

The life of Prince Hamlet of Denmark (Nicol Williamson) is thrown into disarray when he learns that his father was murdered by his uncle Claudius (Anthony Hopkins), the current king, who is now married to Hamlet's mother, Gertrude (Judy Parfitt). Hamlet's unstable behavior troubles his love, Ophelia (Marianne Faithfull), who is further shaken by the death of her father, Polonius (Mark Dignam). Hamlet methodically plots vengeance while other forces conspire to attack him.

With a terminal diagnosis that has left him with just months to live, insurance salesman Peter (Jerry Lewis) decides to take an extravagant, around-the-world fishing tour. Mid-trip, Peter is informed by his doctor, Scott (Peter Lawford), that a malfunctioning electrocardiograph had caused a misdiagnosis and he will live. Now, faced with crippling debt from his travels, Peter resolves to fake his own death to secure a life insurance claim for his wife, Nancy (Anne Francis).
Miss Grant Takes Richmond
Ellen Grant (Lucille Ball) is the worst student at her secretarial school, yet surprisingly, she is hired by real estate agent Dick Richmond (William Holden). It turns out that Dick's real estate office is just a front for a betting operation. When Ellen unknowingly takes a large bet from Dick's old flame, Peggy (Janis Carter), Peggy demands that Dick must either pay up or run off with her. It's up to the dizzy Miss Grant to find a way to extract Dick from this mess.

Lt. Rip Crandall (Jack Lemmon) is entrusted with one of the most important missions of his World War II career: to shuttle an Australian spy (Chips Rafferty) into enemy territory. Rough and tough Geoff Carter (Cary Grant) runs a tiny airline that cannot afford to miss any flights, despite the dangers along many of the routes. When Bonnie Lee (Jean Arthur), a performer who is falling for him, sees that Geoff is preparing to fly in violent weather conditions, she takes measures to make him stay. She's successful in her attempt, and two of his employees are forced to make the flight for him -- but Bonnie may have been correct about the potential peril of that flight.
His Girl Friday
When hard-charging New York newspaper editor Walter Burns discovers that his ex-wife, investigative reporter Hildy Johnson, has gotten engaged to milquetoast insurance agent Bruce Baldwin, he unsuccessfully tries to lure her away from tame domestic life with a story about the impending execution of convicted murderer Earl Williams. But when Hildy discovers Williams may be innocent, her reporter instincts take over.
