The conniving Ed Barker (Dick Curtis) murders a rancher and tries to steal the ranch from his widow, Jean Andrews (Ann Doran). However, their old friend Cliff Houston (Charles Starrett) appears on the scene to try and save the day. He makes a deal with Barker and his crew to drive the Andrews herd to market and split the money, but each man really plans to con the other as soon as the time is right.
