The Pathfinder
As the French and Indian Wars rage on, Hawkeye and those he cares about get caught up along with it. While helping to keep a British fort from falling into the hands of the Crown's enemies, he encounters Mabel Dunham—a beautiful woman who almost immediately raises the suspicions of Chingachgook, Hawkeye's Native American father.
