Gunfighters

Gunfighters

In Texas, gunfighter Brazos Kane (Randolph Scott) decides to lay down his guns for good and rides out to visit his best friend -- only to witness his murder. When Brazos takes the body to the nearby ranch of the powerful Banner (Griff Barnett), the rancher accuses him of the murder. Brazos leaves Banner's daughter, Bess (Barbara Britton), a vital piece of evidence in the crime, and then must evade Banner and a crooked sheriff as he reluctantly takes up arms to prove his innocence.

Gunmen From Laredo

A framed Texas rancher (Robert Knapp) escapes from prison for a showdown with a saloonkeeper (Walter Coy).

A Lawless Street

The honorable Calem Ware (Randolph Scott), marshal of the Wild West boomtown of Medicine Bend, attempts to defuse the simmering tensions in his rapidly growing and increasingly violent town, as a greedy businessman (Warner Anderson) hires a sinister black-gloved gunman (Michael Pate) to take care of his problems with the marshal for good. Meanwhile, a traveling song-and-dance troupe arrives in town, bearing Ware's lost love, Tally (Angela Lansbury), who holds the secret to his violent past.

The Tall T

The luck of Pat Brennan (Randolph Scott) is about to go from bad to worse; after gambling his horse away, he gets a ride from Willard (John Hubbard) and Doretta Mims (Maureen O'Sullivan). Soon, their stagecoach is hijacked by a trio of merciless bandits, led by the especially heartless Frank Usher (Richard Boone). As Usher holds the coach passengers hostage, Brennan falls in love with Doretta and develops a risky plan to free himself and the Mimses, leading to a bloody final standoff.

The Shadow Riders

Mac Traven (Tom Selleck) is a Civil War veteran who fought for the North, while his brother, Dal (Sam Elliott), was allied with the South. In spite of this considerable point of contention, the siblings must work together when they find that other family members have been abducted, along with Dal's girlfriend, Kate (Katharine Ross). Joined by their trouble-making uncle "Black Jack" (Ben Johnson), Mac and Dal relentlessly pursue the criminals to rescue their relatives.

Arizona

Phoebe Titus (Jean Arthur) is a tough-as-nails pioneer with dreams of starting a freight service in Tuscon, Ariz. Peter Muncie (William Holden), a vagabond passing through Arizona en route to California, takes a romantic interest in Phoebe and coaxes out her softer side. Just as their romance begins to blossom, Peter packs up and moves on. Though charming southerner Jefferson Carteret (Warren William) steps in to lend a hand, he may be plotting in secret to sabotage Phoebe's nascent business.

The Kid From Broken Gun

After years on the East Coast, former boxer Jack Mahoney (Jack Mahoney) returns to New Mexico and finds himself framed for murder. Though the only evidence is circumstantial, in the face of vicious prosecutor Kiefer (Myron Healey), Mahoney's girlfriend -- defense lawyer Gail Kingston (Angela Stevens) -- fails to convince the jury of his innocence. Determined to clear Mahoney's name, postal worker Steve Reynolds (Charles Starrett) transforms himself into the masked rider known as the Durango Kid.

Two Rode Together

For a fee, hard-drinking Texas marshal Guthrie McCabe (James Stewart) agrees to help Army officer Jim Gary (Richard Widmark) search for a group of whites who were abducted years earlier by Comanche warriors. After rescuing two of the abductees, McCabe and Gary find that the former captives have fully adopted the culture of their American Indian captors and are barely recognizable. Cultures collide as they attempt to return the settlers to their original -- and now long-forgotten -- lives.
