The Myth of Fingerprints

Grown siblings spend an uneasy Thanksgiving weekend at their parents' home in Maine.

Keller (Breckin Meyer), Terrell Lee (Peter Facinelli), Squirrel (Ethan Embry) and John (Eddie Mills) are four best friends about to graduate from the high school in their tiny West Texas town. The boys have a longstanding pact to escape their small-world upbringing and head for Los Angeles once they get their diplomas. Although each boy has dreamt of a more exciting life elsewhere, all are struggling to take the plunge, especially as the townspeople try to convince them all to stay.

Radio Flyer

When their parents divorce, brothers Mike (Elijah Wood) and Bobby (Joseph Mazzello) move to a California suburb with their mother, Mary (Lorraine Bracco). Soon after, she remarries a man (Adam Baldwin) who insists on being called "the King" and who beats young Bobby when Mary isn't around. The boys try to escape their harsh home life through fantasy, most of it centered on their Radio Flyer wagon. Inspired by the legend of another neighborhood boy, they hope to make it fly.

Buddy

Thanks to the indulgence of her patient husband, Dr. Bill Lintz (Robbie Coltrane), wealthy eccentric Trudy (Rene Russo) has already accumulated a large collection of wild animals by 1931 when she is introduced to Buddy, a sickly young gorilla. Trudy raises Buddy as her own child, dressing him in human clothes, and the ape responds with absolute obedience. But as Buddy grows older and larger, Trudy is unable to restrain him from turning increasingly violent.

Nothing in Common

A successful advertising executive, David Basner (Tom Hanks), is working on a project that could make him partner at his company. When his parents suddenly end their 36-year marriage, he is thrown into the role of caregiver, dealing with his delicate mother, Lorraine (Eva Marie Saint), and his combative father, Max (Jackie Gleason), who provides constant aggravation and bitter remarks. When one of his parents gets sick, David must choose what is more important, his family or his career.

Whatever It Takes

A nerdy teen, Ryan Woodman (Shane West) is smitten with the popular and gorgeous Ashley Grant (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), who apparently has no interest in him. Meanwhile, dim star athlete Chris Campbell (James Franco) has his eye on Ryan's brainy and beautiful friend, Maggie Carter (Marla Sokoloff). The two agree to help each other in their romantic quests, but, as they come closer to their goals, both Ryan and Chris suspect that they might be pursuing the wrong girls.
