Her lawyers claimed she was sexually assaulted for 45 minutes straight by her husband, John, before she went to the kitchen, got a knife and attacked him in the heat of passion. On the stand was a neighbor of the Bobbitts' who claimed to have heard a woman screaming for about forty minutes during the night in question.
