Jurors learned about details of the remains of Jeff which was removed from a makeshift grave. The discovery came after Susan Wright broke down and turned herself into authorities after confessing to her lawyer about the killing.

Crime scene photos dominated the courtroom. Jurors learned about the Blood Spatter found in her bedroom where she allegedly stabbed her husband. Prosecutors left no stone unturned in their case against Susan Wright. They introduced all the evidence they uncovered at the crime scene linked to the fatal stabbing. Jurors were shown physical evidence of a fatal stabbing along with physical evidence of a clean-up job at the crime scene.

Cross-examination began on the Defense's medical expert. Dr. Michael Baden testified in detail that Corey Micciolo most likely died of a lung inflammation and not as a result of physical abuse at the hands of his doctor. Dr. Baden not only explained how six-year-old Corey died but how he sustained the injuries he received. He claimed the six-year-old died of a sudden, rapid pneumonia and the lacerations to his heart, lung, and liver were due to vigorous CPR applied on him to save his life.

Closing arguments began after the Defense rested their case arguing to the jury why Christopher Gregor did not kill Corey Micciolo, his six-year-old son. During the closing arguments, his lead attorney brought jurors back to the beginning of the family drama Corey was living. The defense reminded the jury that the defendant came into Corey's life when he was just five years old and while his mother was battling an illicit drug addiction.

Christopher Gregor's defense ripped Corey Micciolo's mother during closing arguments. Gregor's lead attorney reminded jurors how Breanna Micciolo was dealing with an addiction to methamphetamine while battling with the defendant over sole custody for Corey. The defense kept alluding to their claim that young Corey tragically lost his life from an infection that he suddenly and rapidly got while in his father's care.

The Defense's long closing arguments were filled with accusations and criticisms of the State's witnesses. Mario Gallucci, the Defense's lead attorney, argued why Corey Micciolo's mother, teacher, and even doctors made claims under oath to make Christopher Gregor appear as an abusive, out-of-control father who didn't care about his son's well-being. Gallucci got animated for the jury during closing arguments. He ripped the state's assertion that Gregor was emotionless after the death of his son.
