But then she claimed that she only left him in it because she feared for her life.

He claimed the six-year-old died of a sudden, rapid pneumonia and the lacerations to his heart, lung, and liver were due to vigorous cpr applied on him to save his life.

The defense reminded the jury that the defendant came into Corey's life when he was just five years old and while his mother was battling an illicit drug addiction.
