According to the Defense, Jeff was high on cocaine when he allegedly pulled a knife on his wife.

Cross-examination continued on the peace officer who Susan Wright met with after her husband, Jeff, was killed. She filed a protective order against him while lying to police that he abandoned the family. Prosecutors believed that the day after the murder, Wright filed a domestic abuse report to get a restraining order intending to explain his absence. They claimed that she concocted a history of marital abuse because she feared Jeff's body would later be discovered.

The jury learned about the doctor's visit Susan Wright made the day after she killed her husband, Jeff. Prosecutors contended that she was laying out her story of abuse in anticipation that Jeff's remains would later be discovered. Next, a worker in Children's Services took the stand. She processed the Protective Order of an alleged child abuse incident caused by Jeff. Susan made the report of domestic violence after she stabbed her husband to death.

A close friend of Jeff Wright took the stand. He testified about Jeff's character and life before and after he married Susan. According to Kevin Conboy, Jeff's life improved for the better after he got married. Conboy went on to testify that Jeff was a great salesperson at work, very friendly and a proud father. Jurors were getting more nuance on Jeff's character and behavior along with his home life living with Susan and their two kids.

Jury's attention shifted to close friends and relatives of the victim. The aim was to not just add more perspective to who Jeff Wright was in the years leading up to his death but to bring nuance to his marriage to Susan, which she claimed was marred with ongoing physical and mental abuse. According to Jeff's close friend, Susan was mad at him for something different than alleged domestic abuse.

Prosecutors called in Jeff Wright's mother to give her side of what led up to her son's death. The State accused Susan of lying about her husband's character and actions in the months before he was killed. Both victim's parents took the stand against the woman that ended their son's Life. What did Susan Wright Tell friends and family after she killed her husband, Jeff ? That's what jurors learned which prosecutors contend was elaborate lies to cover up her crime.

More of Jeff Wright's close co-workers and friends testified for the prosecution's case against his wife accused of killing him. They gave a different viewpoint on the couple's marriage in the lead up to the fatal stabbing at home. Next, one of the defendant's close friends and next-door neighbor took the stand. Specific questions of domestic violence was asked. This was the Defense's claim of why Susan killed her husband in a fatal knife attack.

Jurors listened to a distraught close friend who was lied to about Jeff Wright's whereabouts and eventual death. Prosecutors wanted to convince the jury that if Susan could lie first, to close friends and family members then later to police - how could you believe her now? These neighbors and close friends testified that they saw nothing out of the ordinary in the couple's marriage. This was different that the Defense's view where Jeff was this habitual drug abuser who was violent to his wife.
