A city worker who was in charge of scheduling snow plowing in Canton, Massachusetts took the stand. Police wanted to examine the area where John O'Keefe was found unresponsive in a snowbank. Next on the stand was Louis Jutras, the manager of information systems for the town of Canton. Jutras discussed surveillance footage he provided to state police during the course of the investigation.

Jurors listened to more detailed testimony from a lieutenant in the Massachusetts State Police who was responsible for a unit that does evidence searches. His team was assigned to examine the snowbank area where John O'Keefe was found. The Defense conceded that the taillight on Karen Read's SUV was broken at some point. But her lawyers argued that it did not break because she hit O'Keefe. Instead, police planted red and clear plastic at the scene outside the Albert home to frame Read.

Jurors saw crime scene photos during the State's case against her. Massachusetts State Police claimed when they searched the snowy area where John O'Keefe was found, they came across damaged pieces of a car taillight and John's Nike sneaker. Later, the cross-examination began on Lieutenant Kevin O'Hara. He was assigned to scour the crime scene for evidence in the area where John O'Keefe was found all during blizzard conditions.

It was their final phone call that pointed to the calcium supplements.

They were taking care of more than just the children. Both of them were his two main mistresses.
