Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
During the 1850s, Milly (Jane Powell), a pretty young cook, marries Adam (Howard Keel), a grizzled woodsman, after a brief courtship. When the two return to Adam's farm, Milly is shocked to meet his six ill-mannered brothers, all of whom live in his cabin. She promptly begins teaching the brothers proper behavior, and most importantly, how to court a woman. But after the brothers kidnap six local girls during a town barn-raising, a group of indignant villagers tries to track them down.
The Harvey Girls
When Susan Bradley (Judy Garland) responded to an ad in New Mexico for a mail-order bride, she had no idea that her would-be husband was a broken-down cowhand. Jim Slater (Richard Widmark) never knew his father, who died in an Apache ambush in Arizona. After hearing that someone may have survived the ambush and escaped with a stash of gold, Slater sets out to discover exactly what happened. Along the way, he meets Karyl Orton (Donna Reed), widow of one the men killed in the ambush, and attracts the unwanted attention of local hotshot Johnny Cool (William Campbell). A chance encounter offers answers, but Slater isn't so sure he wants to know anymore.
Badman's Territory
After Jesse and Frank James rob a bank in a northern Texas country, Sheriff Mark Rowley (Randolph Scott) and his deputy brother Johnny (James Warren) pursue them into the "Badlands" territory, an outlaw haven not associated with any government. The James brothers are also wanted by a devious federal marshal, who battles Mark for their custody. Soon Mark and Johnny are embroiled with the Dalton Gang and an effort by a female newspaper owner (Ann Richards) to make the territory part of Oklahoma.
