Hawaii

During the 1820s, a domineering young minister, Abner Hale (Max von Sydow), and his compassionate wife, Jerusha (Julie Andrews), embark on a dangerous sea voyage to Hawaii. When they arrive, Jerusha befriends the Hawaiian people and embraces their customs and culture, while Abner, intent on converting them to Christianity, views them as pagan savages. Jerusha grows unhappy with her marriage and begins to fall for Rafer Hoxworth (Richard Harris), a past lover.

The Tall Texan

Sheriff Chadbourne (Samuel Herrick) transports convict Ben Trask (Lloyd Bridges) to El Paso in a covered wagon. The wagon also carries sea captain Theodore Bess (Lee J. Cobb) and married couple Laura (Marie Windsor) and Jerry Niblett (Dean Train). The group comes upon a wounded Native American, banished by his tribe, who offers to lead them to gold. But then the tribe attacks the wagon, killing Jerry and wounding Chadbourne. Ben is freed to help, but the group's troubles have only begun.

Flaming arrows stop four ex-convicts searching a ghost town for their buried loot.

Backlash

Jim Slater (Richard Widmark) never knew his father, who died in an Apache ambush in Arizona. After hearing that someone may have survived the ambush and escaped with a stash of gold, Slater sets out to discover exactly what happened. Along the way, he meets Karyl Orton (Donna Reed), widow of one the men killed in the ambush, and attracts the unwanted attention of local hotshot Johnny Cool (William Campbell). A chance encounter offers answers, but Slater isn't so sure he wants to know anymore.

Badman's Territory

After Jesse and Frank James rob a bank in a northern Texas country, Sheriff Mark Rowley (Randolph Scott) and his deputy brother Johnny (James Warren) pursue them into the "Badlands" territory, an outlaw haven not associated with any government. The James brothers are also wanted by a devious federal marshal, who battles Mark for their custody. Soon Mark and Johnny are embroiled with the Dalton Gang and an effort by a female newspaper owner (Ann Richards) to make the territory part of Oklahoma.
