Day of the Outlaw

Day of the Outlaw

In the quiet frontier town of Bitters, Wyo., a dispute between cattleman Blaise Starrett and farmer Hal Crane is about to boil over into a bloody feud. But the fighting takes a back seat to a new threat when a rogue cavalry captain, Jack Bruhn, rides into town with his band of thugs. Now, with the citizens of Bitters held hostage by Bruhn and his men, Starrett must somehow rescue his town and restore his broken reputation.

Two Rode Together

For a fee, hard-drinking Texas marshal Guthrie McCabe (James Stewart) agrees to help Army officer Jim Gary (Richard Widmark) search for a group of whites who were abducted years earlier by Comanche warriors. After rescuing two of the abductees, McCabe and Gary find that the former captives have fully adopted the culture of their American Indian captors and are barely recognizable. Cultures collide as they attempt to return the settlers to their original -- and now long-forgotten -- lives.

The Lavender Hill Mob

A meek clerk (Alec Guinness), his buddy (Stanley Holloway) and crooks melt hijacked Bank of England gold into Eiffel Tower souvenirs.

Terry Forbes (Errol Flynn) and including Johnny Hammond (Ronald Reagan) and Jed Forest (Arthur Kennedy), flee the plane as it explodes, but German soldiers capture them and place them in a prison camp. Terry's ability to speak German provides the men a way to overcome the guards and attempt a cross-country escape fraught with peril.

The Bad Man

After an outlaw, Pancho Lopez (Wallace Beery), steals cattle from the ranch of Gil (Ronald Reagan) and his uncle Henry (Lionel Barrymore), they face foreclosure to banker Hardy (Henry Travers). When Gil's old love, Lucia (Laraine Day), shows up, her husband (Tom Conway) wants to buy the land, believing there is oil on it. However, Pancho soon arrives and kidnaps everyone except Gil. Pancho realizes that Gil had previously saved his life, so he attempts to help Gil get back on track.
