Boom Town
Two rogue Texas oil men, Big John McMasters (Clark Gable) and Square John Sand (Spencer Tracy), drill oil wells in fields where there is no known oil. These wildcatters team up with a local drilling equipment owner, Luther Aldrich (Frank Morgan), and strike it rich -- but the ups and downs of the oil business, the whims of South American politics, and the love of Elizabeth Betsy Bartlett (Claudette Colbert) threaten to tear the two friends apart.
The Naked Spur
Howard Kemp (James Stewart) has been tracking killer Ben Vandergroat (Robert Ryan) for a long time. In the Colorado Rockies, he teams up with prospector Jesse Tate (Millard Mitchell) and former Union soldier Roy Anderson (Ralph Meeker). Thinking Kemp is a sheriff, they agree to help for a small fee. When they catch Vandergroat, he tells them Kemp is pursuing a $5,000 bounty. After demanding equal shares, the uneasy alliance heads for Kansas as Vandergroat tries to turn them against each other.
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
The last job of Calvary Captain Nathan Brittles (John Wayne) before retirement is to soothe relations with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians after Custer's last stand. At the same time, he must transport the wife (Mildred Natwick) and niece (Joanne Dru) of his commanding officer to a safe destination. After both his missions stall, Brittles attempts a face-to-face meeting with an important Native American chief in order to stave off an impending war.
Red River
Headstrong Thomas Dunson (John Wayne) starts a thriving Texas cattle ranch with the help of his faithful trail hand, Groot (Walter Brennan), and his protégé, Matt Garth (Montgomery Clift), an orphan Dunson took under his wing when Matt was a boy. In need of money following the Civil War, Dunson and Matt lead a cattle drive to Missouri, where they will get a better price than locally, but the crotchety older man and his willful young partner begin to butt heads on the exhausting journey.

When Oliver's intended mark, Mr. Brownlow (Joseph O'Conor), takes pity on the lad and offers him a home, Fagin's henchman Bill Sikes (Oliver Reed) plots to kidnap the boy to keep him from talking.

Renowned in the Wild West as a sharpshooter, Annie meets her match, both romantically and professionally, in the form of fellow ace gunslinger Frank Butler (Howard Keel). While Annie and Frank are performing as part of the famous traveling show headlined by the legendary Buffalo Bill (Louis Calhern), the two compete and flirt, with plenty of ups and downs along the way.
Canyon Passage
Logan Stuart (Dana Andrews) is the proprietor of a general store in an Oregon mining town. His best friend, George Camrose (Brian Donlevy), is a greedy banker and compulsive gambler.
