Railroad surveyor Stephen Bent (Richard Dix) tangles with freight company owner Jeptha Marr (Lee J. Cobb), who fears the coming railroad will bankrupt his business. With the help of Marr's sympathetic daughter, Vinnie (Jane Wyatt), Stephen gets Marr's assistant, Gideon (Albert Dekker), on his side. But, when a rival railroad's representative (Victor Jory) implies that Stephen is having an affair with investor Rita Molyneaux (Lola Lane), it threatens everything Stephen has worked for.
Cheyenne Autumn
Large-scale frontier epic telling the true story of a band of Cheyenne Indians who, starved nearly to extinction on an inhospitable reservation, embark on the long trek back to their distant ancestral homelands in Wyoming, despite opposition from the US Army. Their journey revives old hatreds - and the threat of war.
The Tall T
The luck of Pat Brennan (Randolph Scott) is about to go from bad to worse; after gambling his horse away, he gets a ride from Willard (John Hubbard) and Doretta Mims (Maureen O'Sullivan). Soon, their stagecoach is hijacked by a trio of merciless bandits, led by the especially heartless Frank Usher (Richard Boone). As Usher holds the coach passengers hostage, Brennan falls in love with Doretta and develops a risky plan to free himself and the Mimses, leading to a bloody final standoff.
Hondo
An embittered Indian scout attempts to escort a homesteader's wife and her son back to safety after her cowardly husband deserts her during an Apache attack. When she refuses to go, the scout stays on to help for a while and, over time, forms a strong bond with both her and her son.
Firecreek
Johnny Cobb (James Stewart) is the part-time sheriff in a small, rundown town, trying to stretch his meager salary to provide for his growing family. Poor Cobb isn't much of a gunman, and he isn't particularly suited for fighting, but he's the man in charge when a gang of bandits led by Bob Larkin (Henry Fonda) rides into town. The tension rises as the bandits make themselves at home in Cobb's town, but when a gunfight breaks out, Cobb finds himself pushed to the limit.
Big Jim McLain
Jim McLain (John Wayne) and his partner, Mal Baxter (James Arness), are investigators for the House Un-American Activities Committee, who are sent to Hawaii to find the leaders of a local Communist Party. They visit Dr. Gelster (Gayne Whitman), a psychiatrist who is treating one of the party members. While there, McLain charms the doctor's secretary, Nancy Vallon (Nancy Olson), and asks her out. As their hunt continues, McLain and Baxter become targets of Communist boss Sturak (Alan Napier).
The Scarlet and the Black
Defying a Nazi colonel (Christopher Plummer), Vatican Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty (Gregory Peck) hides thousands of escaped POWs in occupied Rome.
The Nebraskan
When his Indian assistant, Wingfoot (Maurice Jara), is accused of murdering a Sioux chief, Army scout Wade Harper (Phil Carey) brings him to Fort Kearney, Neb., where Colonel Markham (Regis Toomey) insists the young man has the right to a fair trial rather than handing him over to the Sioux. While in jail, Wingfoot is forced to escape with ruthless prisoner Reno Benton (Lee Van Cleef). Wade sets out with a small party to rescue his friend, with the Sioux right behind him.
