The Desert Trail

John Scott (John Wayne) is a rodeo rider, assisted by his buddy Kansas Charlie (Eddy Chandler). But while the duo is settling a debt with their promoter, Farnsworth (Henry Hall), thieves Pete (Al Ferguson) and Jim (Paul Fix) murder and rob Farnsworth and manage to pin the crimes on John and Charlie. The accused then flee, assume two new identities, take up with a shopkeeper named Anne (Mary Kornman) and set out to clear their names and bring the real killers to justice.

The Robe

In this biblical epic, a drunk and disillusioned Roman, Marcellus Gallio (Richard Burton), wins Jesus' robe in a dice game after the crucifixion. Marcellus has never been a man of faith like his slave, Demetrius (Victor Mature), but when Demetrius escapes with the robe, Marcellus experiences disturbing visions and feels guilty of his actions. Convinced that destroying the robe will cure him, Marcellus sets out to find Demetrius -- and discovers his Christian faith along the way.

However, fellow cattleman Wick Campbell (Richard Boone) isn't so peaceful, and he hires a team of armed mercenaries, led by ruthless Frank Scavo (Leo Gordon), to rid him of any possible competition. After narrowly surviving an attack from Scavo and his men, Stewart has little choice but to fight back in order to save both his ranch and his family, including nephew Howie (Skip Homeier).
