Foreign Correspondent
Crime reporter John Jones (Joel McCrea) is turning in nothing but dull copy. His editor, unhappy with his work, hopes a change of scenery will be the thing Jones needs to get back on track. Re-assigned to Europe as a foreign correspondent, Jones is very much out of his element. When he stumbles on a spy ring, he feels ill-equipped to unravel the truth alone, and he seeks help from a beautiful politician's daughter (Laraine Day) and an urbane English journalist (George Sanders).
The Woman Alone
A ring of saboteurs is causing havoc in London with a series of explosive terrorist attacks. Karl Verloc (Oscar Homolka) is part of the group, but he maintains a cover as a kind movie theater owner. His wife (Sylvia Sidney) is beginning to suspect something, though, and so is Scotland Yard Detective Sgt. Ted Spencer (John Loder). What neither of them know, however, is that Verloc uses his wife's little brother (Desmond Tester) to deliver the bombs in film canisters.

Blazing the Western Trail
Noble cowboy the Durango Kid (Charles Starrett) gets snared in a vicious feud between two warring stagecoach operations. One of the two has been recently willed to spitfire Mary Halliday (Carole Mathews), whose father the Kid suspects was murdered by a business rival. With the help of his trusted friends Tex Harding (Tex Harding) and Cannonball (Dub Taylor), the Kid hopes to uncover the truth while hiding the investigation from the strident Miss Halliday.

The Durango Kid learns that crooked scouts are behind attempts to escalate a war between a local tribe and the cavalry.
Major Dundee
During the end of the Civil War, Major Dundee guards Confederate prisoners, Union deserters and ordinary hard-bitten criminals in a remote fort. When Apaches attack the fort and make off with three children, Dundee must set up a posse including Confederates, who face a choice between joining up or being shot. The feud between Dundee and Tyreen is also heated up by a sultry Mexican widow.

A morale-boosting tribute to the US Navy's Construction Battalions who followed behind the troops invading Pacific islands held by the Japanese to build runways, roads and bridges. Wedge Donovan is the civilian head of a construction company approached by the Navy to train their men as specialists. Instead, the impetuous Donovan wants to prove his crew are up to the job, but they are shot up by the Japanese.
