The inhabitants of a small western community turn on Jim Guthrie (Dana Andrews) when he becomes the prime suspect for a murder he didn't commit. Clay and Steve unexpectedly cross paths with a group of dance hall girls -- including Mary (Gloria Grahame), Marcia (Martha Hyer) and Helen (Myrna Dell) -- whose stagecoach has broken down, and help them get to the nearest ranch, where Lednov unfortunately catches up to Clay.
