Shortly after circus owner Sue Farnum (Dale Evans), her assistant, Gabby (George "Gabby" Hayes), and her late father's ex-partner, Slim Phillips (Addison Richards), accidentally interrupt the filming of a movie starring singing cowboy Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers), Slim is kidnapped. Sue suspects that William Ripley (Grant Withers), a crooked businessman who's trying to steal her circus, is behind the kidnapping.
