Heaven With a Gun

Station West
In 1881, former Army Lt. John Haven (Dick Powell) acts as a secret government agent on a covert mission to investigate the theft of numerous gold shipments. Haven confides his mission to Capt. Haven agrees to report his results to reliable gold mine owner Mary Caslon (Agnes Moorehead), then searches for the town's financier, Charlie (Jane Greer), whose nefarious dealings immediately bring her under suspicion.

In Texas, gunfighter Brazos Kane (Randolph Scott) decides to lay down his guns for good and rides out to visit his best friend -- only to witness his murder. When Brazos takes the body to the nearby ranch of the powerful Banner (Griff Barnett), the rancher accuses him of the murder. Brazos leaves Banner's daughter, Bess (Barbara Britton), a vital piece of evidence in the crime, and then must evade Banner and a crooked sheriff as he reluctantly takes up arms to prove his innocence.
The Cowboys
A grizzled veteran rancher, Wil Andersen (John Wayne) is almost ready to embark on a big cattle drive when his crew abruptly quits to join in a gold rush. Left with no alternative, Anderson enlists the help of a group of local schoolboys. Training the youngsters to be cowboys, Andersen manages to get the drive underway, but their long journey is placed in jeopardy when the devious bandit Long Hair (Bruce Dern) sets his sights on stealing the herd.
