Murder, He Says

When a public opinion surveyor working in the mountain district town of Plainville goes missing, fellow surveyor Pete Marshall (Fred MacMurray) is sent as his replacement. Visiting the hillbilly family of Mamie Fleagle (Marjorie Main), Pete begins to suspect with horror that she and her two sons have murdered the surveyor. Pete then comes to believe that Mamie is slowly poisoning wealthy Grandma Fleagle, who has put a vital clue to her fortune in a nonsensical embroidered sampler.

David and Bathsheba

King David and the beautiful Bathsheba's adulterous love risks David his throne, country and even the wrath of God. Told in occasional flashback, the film sees him conquer Goliath and lead his armies to victory before the prophet Nathan brings the word of Jehovah and His judgment, which sees David atone for his sins.

Buchanan Rides Alone

Journeying from Mexico back home to West Texas, mercenary Tom Buchanan (Randolph Scott) takes a break for the night in the border town of Agry. He soon discovers that almost every resident -- from the crooked sheriff (Barry Kelley) to the shifty-eyed innkeeper -- is a member of the prominent Agry family. When Buchanan defends Juan de la Vega (Manuel Rojas), a young man about to be lynched for shooting the town drunk, he himself is accused of murder and must struggle to escape town alive.

Taggart

Gunfight at the O.K. Corral

Lawman Wyatt Earp (Burt Lancaster) and gunfighter John "Doc" Holliday (Kirk Douglas) find themselves together again in Tombstone, Ariz., despite the tumultuous history between them. Earp comes to Arizona on a mission to bring the Clayton clan to justice. Meanwhile, Holliday becomes incensed with the decision of Kate Fisher (Jo Van Fleet) to turn him down in favor of another gunfighter (John Ireland), ultimately leading Holliday to join Earp's side in a confrontation with the Claytons.

Seemingly everyone wants a piece of his enormous farmstead, including high-ranking government men, McLintock's own sons and nearby Native Americans.
