The Ox-Bow Incident

Initially suspected of being the rustlers themselves, Carter and Croft eventually join a posse out to get the criminals, who also may be involved in a recent shooting. When the stagecoach Russell is riding in is held up by a gang run by one of the scheming passengers, Cicero Grimes (Richard Boone), it falls to Russell to defend the passengers -- the very people who have dismissed and insulted him.

When half-breed Indian Yaqui Joe (Burt Reynolds) robs an Arizona bank, he is pursued by dogged lawman Lyedecker (Jim Brown). Fleeing to Mexico, Joe is imprisoned by General Verdugo (Fernando Lamas), who is waging a war against the Yaqui Indians. When Lyedecker attempts to intervene, he is thrown into prison as well. Working together, the two escape and take refuge in the hills, where Lyedecker meets beautiful Yaqui freedom fighter Sarita (Raquel Welch) and begins to question his allegiances.

Best pals Ryan (Jake Johnson) and Justin (Damon Wayans Jr.) are stalled in their respective careers -- a fact that is painfully driven home when they go to a college reunion. Dressed as police in the mistaken belief that they were to attend a costume party, Ryan and Justin find that the uniforms earn them much respect and attention. Although Justin is uncomfortable with the idea, Ryan decides to continue with the charade, putting them both in increasingly dangerous situations.
