Loaded Pistols
During a dice game, the lights go out and a participant is shot to death. Larry Evans (Russell Arms), one of the players, is accused of the shooting, so Gene Autry (Gene Autry), a friend of the dead man, confronts Larry and his sister, Mary (Barbara Britton), who are hiding out in an old house. But Gene quickly realizes Larry is innocent and decides to protect the siblings from the law while he looks for the real killer. Gene's pursuit is sidetracked when an angry mob comes after Mary and Larry.
Lucky Terror
Lucky Carson (Hoot Gibson) is riding through the mountains when he gets caught up in a fight between a lone rider (George Chesebro) and a gang of outlaws, led by Bat Moulton (Jack Rockwell). When the lone rider dies, Carson takes off with his gold and hooks up with a traveling medicine show. He quickly realizes that the show's fortuneteller (Lona Andre) is the niece of the dead rider, a local miner who struck gold. Carson vows to clear his name when he's charged with the rider's murder.

Randy Rides Alone
Undercover government agent Randy Bowers (John Wayne) rides into a small town, happening upon a saloon that's just been shot up. Wary of the newcomer, the sheriff (Earle Dwire) arrests Randy for the murders, but the saloon owner's niece, Sally Rogers (Alberta Vaughn), helps him escape because she knows he didn't do it. Randy then sets out to find the man behind the murders and is led to an evil mastermind named Marvin Black (George Hayes), who has been passing himself off as an innocent mute.

Baseball great Lou Gehrig retires and decides to buy a ranch in the small Western town of Rawhide with his sister, Peggy (Evalyn Knapp). Upon arrival, Lou and Peggy are pressured by Ed Saunders (Arthur Loft) to join the protection association he runs. Lou refuses when he learns that ranchers can't make supply purchases unless they join with Saunders. When their ranch is attacked in retaliation and foreman Pop Mason (Si Jenks) is wounded, Lou and Peggy organize against Saunders.

But things turn sour when her beau, Ben (Reed Howes), becomes jealous. After Mason discovers the men who killed his father, his plan for a duel is sabotaged by Ben, who has been manipulated.
