Corrupt Wisconsin lumberman Jim Fallon (Kirk Douglas) travels to Northern California at the dawn of the 20th century in order to gain control of a tract of redwood forest. Fallon's underhanded tactics stir resentment from everyone, including settler Elder Bixby (Charles Meredith) ; his beautiful daughter, Alicia (Eve Miller) ; Fallon's fair-minded employee, Yukon Burns (Edgar Buchanan) ; and his right-hand man, Frenchy LeCroix (John Archer) -- and his cheating ways create unlikely bedfellows.

Buffalo hide trader Tom Doan comes to the aid of Jude Pilchuk, a fellow hunter whose wagon was run off of the trail by white thieves disguised as raiding American Indians. As prospector Bob Brand (Ken Curtis) searches for riches from a lost gold mine, his son Bobby (Charlie Hughes) befriends an American Indian named Stormcloud (Chief Thundercloud). As a reward for Bobby's kindness, Stormcloud provides him with a map to the mine, so he can help his father's search. Greedy Sam Harrison (Robert Lowery) gets wind of the map, however, and attempts to violently upset their plans. After Harrison defeats Bob, Bobby and his stallion, King, must confront the dangerous man.
American Empire
After the Civil War, friends Dan Taylor (Richard Dix) and Paxton Bryce (Preston Foster) yearn for new lives. While captaining a riverboat, the friends confront Creole cattle rustler Dominique Beauchard (Leo Carrillo). Learning of Beauchard's intent to cheat them, the men keep his cattle, and Paxton convinces Dan to turn to cattle ranching. Their ranch becomes successful, and Paxton eventually marries Dan's sister, Abby (Frances Gifford) -- but Beauchard soon returns to challenge them.

Brand of the Devil
Tex Wyatt (Dave "Tex" O'Brien), Jim Steel (Jim Newill) and Panhandle Perkins (Guy Wilkerson) are Texas Rangers working undercover to bust up a cattle rustling ring that leaves cards bearing a devilish pitchfork to announce its presence. While Tex and Jim concentrate on helping and protecting the townspeople, Panhandle adopts a false identity and infiltrates the gang. When the rustlers' crimes escalate to murder, the lawmen must redouble their efforts to bring them down.

Rex (Rex Allen) and Slim (Slim Pickens) journey to Colorado, where Slim is expecting to claim the estate of the departed Zeke Reynolds. But the will also includes Jacqueline Reynolds (Mary Ellen Kay) and the evil Hurley siblings (June Vincent, Fred Graham). The Hurleys, who assumed they were the sole heirs, plan to use the estate's forests for a timber business. They will stop at nothing, including murder, to make the land theirs, but Rex and Slim are willing to fight for justice.
