Tex Wyatt (Dave "Tex" O'Brien), Jim Steel (Jim Newill) and Panhandle Perkins (Guy Wilkerson) are Texas Rangers working undercover to bust up a cattle rustling ring that leaves cards bearing a devilish pitchfork to announce its presence. While Tex and Jim concentrate on helping and protecting the townspeople, Panhandle adopts a false identity and infiltrates the gang. Learning of Beauchard's intent to cheat them, the men keep his cattle, and Paxton convinces Dan to turn to cattle ranching. Their ranch becomes successful, and Paxton eventually marries Dan's sister, Abby (Frances Gifford) -- but Beauchard soon returns to challenge them.
