Ridin' on a Rainbow
As a showboat docks in town, horseman Gene Autry (Gene Autry) and friends are preoccupied by a recent cattle deal. Gene tells his partners to deposit their earnings in a local bank, and they follow his advice. But soon the bank is robbed by showboat crewman Matt Evans (Byron Foulger) and his pals. As Matt enlists his naïve daughter, showboat performer Patsy (Mary Lee), to help hide the money, Gene and sidekick Frog Millhouse (Smiley Burnette) set out to retrieve their friends' stolen cash.
Back in the Saddle
Noble cowboy Gene Autry (Gene Autry) travels to New York City along with Frog Millhouse (Smiley Burnette) to persuade Tom Bennett (Edward Norris) to return to his hometown and run his late father's cattle ranch. However, when the trio reach Arizona, they learn that contamination from a nearby copper mine has poisoned the herd. Enraged, Bennett lashes out at the mine's negligent but unapologetic owner (Arthur Loft) and lands in jail for his troubles. Now, it's up to Autry to set things right.

American Empire
After the Civil War, friends Dan Taylor (Richard Dix) and Paxton Bryce (Preston Foster) yearn for new lives. While captaining a riverboat, the friends confront Creole cattle rustler Dominique Beauchard (Leo Carrillo). Learning of Beauchard's intent to cheat them, the men keep his cattle, and Paxton convinces Dan to turn to cattle ranching. Their ranch becomes successful, and Paxton eventually marries Dan's sister, Abby (Frances Gifford) -- but Beauchard soon returns to challenge them.
The Red Rope
Tom Shaw (Bob Steele), a ranch hand engaged to the beautiful Betty Duncan (Lois January), is shocked when he receives a package that includes several spent rounds of ammunition and three pieces of stained rope. While the local battles between ranchers over land have been escalating, this cryptic box serves as a clear threat from the notorious hired gunman Rattler Haynes (Lew Meehan). To save Betty's family's ranch, Tom sets out to face off against the nefarious gunslinger.

Dare Rudd (John Wayne) and Dinkey (Syd Saylor) are two friends who love to gamble. Needing money and shelter, they travel to Montana to visit Rudd's cousin, Tom (John Mack Brown), who owns a successful cattle ranch. Dare quickly falls for Tom's girlfriend Judy (Marsha Hunt), who convinces Tom to give Dare a chance to prove himself by running a cattle drive. When he loses the herd in a high-stakes poker game, Dare joins forces with Tom and Dinkey to get the cattle back.

Baseball great Lou Gehrig retires and decides to buy a ranch in the small Western town of Rawhide with his sister, Peggy (Evalyn Knapp). Upon arrival, Lou and Peggy are pressured by Ed Saunders (Arthur Loft) to join the protection association he runs. Lou refuses when he learns that ranchers can't make supply purchases unless they join with Saunders. When their ranch is attacked in retaliation and foreman Pop Mason (Si Jenks) is wounded, Lou and Peggy organize against Saunders.

Craving a respite from touring life, singing cowboy Gene Autry (Gene Autry) ; his sidekick, Frog (Smiley Burnette) ; and their band, the Texas Troubadors, purchase a dairy farm in Colorado. Settling into their new lives as dairymen, Gene and the boys discover that someone is attacking area milk trucks in a bid to drive the local dairies out of business. Teaming up against the corrupt sheriff (Buster Crabbe) and veterinarian (Robert Barrat), Gene and his men fight to save the farms.
Blue Montana Skies
Gene (Gene Autry), Frog (Smiley Burnette) and Steve (Tully Marshall) are Montana cattlemen who drive herds over the Canadian border. When Steve is killed, they follow a clue he carved on a rock, which leads to a nearby ranch run by Dorothy (June Storey). She's a good woman, oblivious to the fact that the sneering Hendricks (Harry Woods) is running a fur-smuggling ring under her nose, using her ranch as cover. It's up to Gene and Frog to save Dorothy, stop the outlaws and avenge their friend.
