Brand of the Devil

Tex Wyatt (Dave "Tex" O'Brien), Jim Steel (Jim Newill) and Panhandle Perkins (Guy Wilkerson) are Texas Rangers working undercover to bust up a cattle rustling ring that leaves cards bearing a devilish pitchfork to announce its presence. While Tex and Jim concentrate on helping and protecting the townspeople, Panhandle adopts a false identity and infiltrates the gang. When the rustlers' crimes escalate to murder, the lawmen must redouble their efforts to bring them down.

Corrupt Wisconsin lumberman Jim Fallon (Kirk Douglas) travels to Northern California at the dawn of the 20th century in order to gain control of a tract of redwood forest. After the Civil War, friends Dan Taylor (Richard Dix) and Paxton Bryce (Preston Foster) yearn for new lives. While captaining a riverboat, the friends confront Creole cattle rustler Dominique Beauchard (Leo Carrillo). Learning of Beauchard's intent to cheat them, the men keep his cattle, and Paxton convinces Dan to turn to cattle ranching. Their ranch becomes successful, and Paxton eventually marries Dan's sister, Abby (Frances Gifford) -- but Beauchard soon returns to challenge them.

Randy then sets out to find the man behind the murders and is led to an evil mastermind named Marvin Black (George Hayes), who has been passing himself off as an innocent mute.

Rawhide

Baseball great Lou Gehrig retires and decides to buy a ranch in the small Western town of Rawhide with his sister, Peggy (Evalyn Knapp). Upon arrival, Lou and Peggy are pressured by Ed Saunders (Arthur Loft) to join the protection association he runs. Lou refuses when he learns that ranchers can't make supply purchases unless they join with Saunders. When their ranch is attacked in retaliation and foreman Pop Mason (Si Jenks) is wounded, Lou and Peggy organize against Saunders.

Public Cowboy, No. 1

When withered Sheriff Doniphon (William Farnum) is overwhelmed by his town's drastic rise in cattle rustling, he calls on his deputy, cowboy Gene Autry (Gene Autry), for help. But Autry is bewildered when he discovers that these crafty thieves are utilizing new innovations -- from shortwave radios to airplanes -- to steal herds with lightning speed and stealth. Refusing to be outclassed by modern technology, Autry uses gumption and strategy to bring these crooks to justice.

After a long battle with Gen. Miguel Sebastian of Mexico, Capt. McKane (Jim Davis) and his troops successfully take over a small town in Southern California. Despite the Mexican settlers' claim that the land is rightfully theirs, McKane, Sgt. Pardee (Lee Van Cleef) and a gang of mercenaries drive them from their homes. When U.S. Judge Ward Young (Louis Jean Heydt) and his lawman son, Faron (Faron Young), come to town, they're shocked by McKane's ruthless leadership and vow to set things right.

New Mexico

After the Civil War, cavalryman Capt. Hunt (Lew Ayres) tries to strike peace with Acoma (Ted de Corsia), a Native American chief. However, Judge Wilcox (Lloyd Corrigan) and others provoke Acoma, arresting him and shooting his men, prompting revenge from the chief. In the ensuing battles, one of Acoma's sons is killed, enraging him further. Hunt must save Cherry (Marilyn Maxwell), a dance hall girl caught up in the commotion, and try to find a way to end the bloody conflict with Acoma.
