Hell Town

Dare Rudd (John Wayne) and Dinkey (Syd Saylor) are two friends who love to gamble. Needing money and shelter, they travel to Montana to visit Rudd's cousin, Tom (John Mack Brown), who owns a successful cattle ranch. Dare quickly falls for Tom's girlfriend Judy (Marsha Hunt), who convinces Tom to give Dare a chance to prove himself by running a cattle drive. When he loses the herd in a high-stakes poker game, Dare joins forces with Tom and Dinkey to get the cattle back.

The Lawless Frontier

The parents of John Tobin (John Wayne) have been murdered, and he wants justice. He sets out to find the killer, the evil gang leader Pandro Zanti (Earl Dwire), who hides from the law with disguises and almost kills old prospector Dusty (George Hayes) and his granddaughter. John rescues them and catches Zanti, only to face criminal charges from lawman Sheriff Williams (Jack Rockwell). Zanti is let go, and John must clear his name and establish who the real criminal is.

Lucky Terror

Lucky Carson (Hoot Gibson) is riding through the mountains when he gets caught up in a fight between a lone rider (George Chesebro) and a gang of outlaws, led by Bat Moulton (Jack Rockwell). When the lone rider dies, Carson takes off with his gold and hooks up with a traveling medicine show. He quickly realizes that the show's fortuneteller (Lona Andre) is the niece of the dead rider, a local miner who struck gold. Carson vows to clear his name when he's charged with the rider's murder.

Undercover government agent Randy Bowers (John Wayne) rides into a small town, happening upon a saloon that's just been shot up. Wary of the newcomer, the sheriff (Earle Dwire) arrests Randy for the murders, but the saloon owner's niece, Sally Rogers (Alberta Vaughn), helps him escape because she knows he didn't do it. Randy then sets out to find the man behind the murders and is led to an evil mastermind named Marvin Black (George Hayes), who has been passing himself off as an innocent mute.

Jerry Mason (John Wayne), fresh out of college back East, heads home to Texas to join a blacksmith business with family friend Jake (George Hayes). But when they discover a gold nugget in a horseshoe, they're led down a dangerous path, as crooks Joe Cole (Yakima Canutt) and Harris (Lloyd Whitlock) scheme to take the rock from the unsuspecting Jerry and Jake. This ultimately gets Jake shot and wounded, lands Jerry in jail unjustly and leaves the pair plotting to get revenge on the criminals.

But things turn sour when her beau, Ben (Reed Howes), becomes jealous. After Mason discovers the men who killed his father, his plan for a duel is sabotaged by Ben, who has been manipulated.

Another shooting draws Horse's future son-in-law, Pat Farrell (John Archer), into the mystery.

When the esteemed Judge John Grey (Harry Shannon) finds himself on trial for the robbery of a local bank, singing cowboy Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers) comes to his friend's aid. Rogers suspects a frame-up, and the trail of clues leads directly to the crafty Belle Bonner (Ona Munson), a woman whose disreputable saloon has recently sparked the judge's ire. To clear Grey's name, Rogers must convince the townspeople of his innocence -- and face off against Belle and her gunslinging henchmen.
