After the Civil War, friends Dan Taylor (Richard Dix) and Paxton Bryce (Preston Foster) yearn for new lives. While captaining a riverboat, the friends confront Creole cattle rustler Dominique Beauchard (Leo Carrillo). Learning of Beauchard's intent to cheat them, the men keep his cattle, and Paxton convinces Dan to turn to cattle ranching. Their ranch becomes successful, and Paxton eventually marries Dan's sister, Abby (Frances Gifford) -- but Beauchard soon returns to challenge them.

Brand of the Devil

Greedy Sam Harrison (Robert Lowery) gets wind of the map, however, and attempts to violently upset their plans. After Harrison defeats Bob, Bobby and his stallion, King, must confront the dangerous man.
