The Shootist
J.B. Books (John Wayne, in his final film role) is an aging gunfighter diagnosed with cancer who comes to Nevada at the turn of the 20th century. Renting a room from widowed Bond Rogers (Lauren Bacall) and her son Gillom (Ron Howard), Books is confronted by several people of questionable motives, including a man seeking to avenge his brother's death and a few who are looking to profit from Books' notoriety. Not wanting to die a quiet, painful death, Books devises a plan to go out with a bang.

Before Larry gets a chance to react to the plan, it seems that Owen has already sealed Margaret's fate.
My Dead Boyfriend
Mary's life has been defined by a string of temp jobs and a half-hearted attempt to become a writer, but that changes when she comes home to find her boyfriend dead in front of the TV set. During a string of misadventures as she tries to dispose of his ashes - accidentally becoming the bassist in a rock band, bonding with the dog he left behind, awkward encounters with numerous ex-lovers - Mary discovers that there was much more to her couch potato boyfriend than she ever thought imaginable.
The Falcon and the Snowman
After his father (Pat Hingle) finds him a job at the CIA, Christopher Boyce (Timothy Hutton) discovers the less reputable side of the American government through handling classified documents. As he grows increasingly disillusioned, Boyce decides to sell the information to the Russians in an act of defiance. A drug-addicted friend of Boyce's, Daulton Lee (Sean Penn), becomes involved in the plot and acts as a middleman between Boyce and the Soviets, but the erratic Lee fails to cover his tracks.
The Running Man
In the year 2019, America is a totalitarian state where the favorite television program is "The Running Man" -- a game show in which prisoners must run to freedom to avoid a brutal death. Having been made a scapegoat by the government, an imprisoned Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger) has the opportunity to make it back to the outside again by being a contestant on the deadly show, although the twisted host, Damon Killian (Richard Dawson), has no intention of letting him escape.
The Great Raid
In early 1945, as World War II is nearing its end, Gen. Douglas MacArthur selects Lt. Col. Henry Mucci (Benjamin Bratt) to command a bold rescue mission in the Philippines. There, in the city of Cabanauan, more than 500 American soldiers are being held captive in a brutal prisoner-of-war camp. With the assistance of Capt. Prince (James Franco), Mucci will lead the valiant soldiers of the 6th Ranger Battalion in one of the boldest POW rescues in American history.

Gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok (Jeff Bridges) travels the frontier, gaining fame and enemies in roughly equal measure. Along the way, he meets Susannah (Diane Lane), his one true love, but spurns her for the outlaw life. With his health deteriorating, Bill rides into Deadwood, S.D., as his past catches up to him.

Ex-outlaw Link Jones (Gary Cooper) is aboard a train when it is robbed by bandits. When he tries to intervene, he's knocked out and left in the middle of nowhere with saloon singer Billie (Julie London), whom he hoped to hire as a schoolteacher in his town, and Sam (Arthur O'Connell), a con man. Link brings the three to his nearby former home, now the hideout for the bandits, who are led by his uncle (Lee J. Cobb) -- and to save his new friends, he must rejoin the old gang for one last holdup.

When traveling con man Latigo Smith (James Garner) drifts into a small Western town, he decides to take advantage of a local rivalry between gold-mining factions. Recruiting the shifty Jug May (Jack Elam) to pose as a notorious gunfighter, Smith sets his scheme in motion, while also taking time to romance the lovely Patience Barton (Suzanne Pleshette). However, after his ruse is uncovered, Smith incurs the wrath of the real hired gun, among others, leading to a big shoot-out.

Edward Pierce (Sean Connery) is a master thief of the Victorian Era who's never found a heist he couldn't pull off.
