The Seven Year Itch
In the midst of a summer heat wave, New Yorker Richard Sherman (Tom Ewell) ships his wife, Helen (Evelyn Keyes), and their son off to Maine for vacation. Left alone to work back in Manhattan, Richard encounters a gorgeous blonde model (Marilyn Monroe) who has moved into the apartment upstairs, and becomes immediately infatuated. While pondering infidelity, Richard dreams of his beautiful new neighbor -- but will his fantasies about her become a reality?

They Made Me a Criminal
After boxing manager Doc Woods accidentally kills a reporter, he frames his champion fighter, Johnnie Bradfield (John Garfield), who changes his identity and flees to Arizona. There Johnnie takes refuge at a ranch run by a kindly older woman known as Grandma (May Robson), who has also opened her home to delinquents the Dead End Kids. With the help of Peggy (Gloria Dickson), Johnnie and the Kids struggle to overcome their distrust, just as Det. Phelan (Claude Rains) tracks Johnnie down.
The Stranger
Immediately following World War II, ex-Nazi Franz Kindler (Orson Welles) is living under a false identity as a teacher in a small Connecticut town, and has even married the headmaster's daughter (Loretta Young) as part of his cover. But when one of Kindler's old German associates (Konstantin Shayne) arrives unexpectedly in town, bringing in his wake a sly federal investigator (Edward G. Robinson), Kindler resorts to desperate measures to preserve his secret.

The Kid From Left Field
Peanut vendor and washed-up baseball player "Coop" Cooper (Dan Dailey) teaches his 9-year-old son, Christy (Billy Chapin), all the game's finer points. When Christy becomes the new bat boy, his suggestions to the players lift the struggling team out of the basement. Owner Fred Whacker (Ray Collins) names Christy the team's head coach as a publicity stunt, changing the lives of everyone, including team secretary Marion Foley (Anne Bancroft) and her third-baseman fiancé (Lloyd Bridges).
High Wall
Steven Kenet (Robert Taylor) has been blacking out, which is particularly problematic because he has been convicted of a crime he thinks he did not commit -- murdering his wife. Afraid that brain surgery will allow his accusers to decree him insane, Kenet instead is sent to a mental hospital. At the hospital, Dr. Ann Lorrison (Audrey Totter) falls for Kenet. But after initially believing his story, she starts to doubt whether her patient, the man she loves, is innocent after all.

The assignment quickly becomes complicated when bodies start turning up. This Raymond Chandler adaptation is notable for being filmed entirely from Marlowe's first-person perspective.
Panic in the Streets
After Dr. Clint Reed (Richard Widmark) is called in to supervise an autopsy of a unknown man, he discovers that the John Doe died of pneumonic plague. Revealing his discovery to the mayor and city officials, Reed is informed that he has 48 hours before the public will be told about a potential outbreak. Joined by Captain Tom Warren (Paul Douglas) and his wife, Nancy (Barbara Bel Geddes), Reed must race against time to find out where the unknown man came from.
Sea Wife
After their vessel is sunk by a Japanese submarine off the coast of Singapore during World War II, a beautiful nun (Joan Collins), a black purser (Cy Grant), a military officer (Richard Burton) and a racist businessman (Basil Sydney) escape in a small lifeboat. Tensions mount as the group drifts through the ocean, rations supplies and struggles to survive under the harsh sun. The military officer soon falls in love with the nun, unaware of her true identity.
Down to the Sea in Ships
The aging Captain Bering Joy (Lionel Barrymore) hasn't lost a step, but the men who own the ship he sails want the old man to resign. Determined to prove them wrong, Bering goes on one last whaling mission, bringing along his young grandson, Jed (Dean Stockwell), as an apprentice. There, Jed befriends enterprising young sailor Dan Lunceford (Richard Widmark), who has been chosen to someday replace Bering. The old captain initially resents Dan, but a disaster at sea unites the feuding sailors.
