There is little hope for bandit Dee Bishop (Dean Martin) and his gang as they wait to be hanged. But at the last second, the hangman -- Dee's brother, Mace (James Stewart), in disguise -- helps them escape. After kidnapping a rancher's wife (Raquel Welch) and with the vengeful sheriff (George Kennedy) in pursuit, they retreat to an abandoned town. Tired of their desperado life, the brothers consider going straight. But when a gang of bandoleros attacks, their chances at starting over seem dim.

Rawhide

In the Wild West, the Rawhide way station becomes the center of a hostage situation when four murderous fugitives (Hugh Marlowe, Dean Jagger, Jack Elam, George Tobias) take it over in a heist scheme. After killing the stationmaster (Tyrone Power), the criminals keep the only other employee, Sam Todd (Edgar Buchanan), alive to avoid outside suspicion by maintaining a front of normalcy. But Todd and the other hostages, Vinnie Holt (Susan Hayward) and her young niece, plot to make an escape.

Duel in the Sun

Tragedy seems to follow Pearl Chavez (Jennifer Jones) everywhere she goes. After a domestic dispute results in the death of both of her parents, Pearl moves in with her aunt, Laura Belle (Lillian Gish), on an expansive farm. When Pearl notices Laura Belle's son, the fiery Lewt, life on the ranch erupts into chaos. The two have a brief courtship, but Lewt abruptly ends the relationship. When Pearl tries to move on, Lewt's jealousy leads to a climactic gun battle between the former lovers.

North to Alaska

When George Pratt (Stewart Granger) and Sam McCord (John Wayne) strike gold in Alaska, they must struggle to keep their fortune because of the constant interference from Frankie Canon (Ernie Kovacs), who wants to claim the gold for himself. After being ordered to find George's fiancée in Seattle, Sam discovers that she has already married another man. Unable to deliver George's fiancée, Sam decides to bring him a prostitute named Angel (Capucine).

Stagecoach

A motley crew of travelers are forced to band together while making a treacherous crossing through American Indian territory in a rickety stagecoach. Along the way, a drunken doctor (Bing Crosby) finds a moment of redemption, a pregnant captain's wife (Stefanie Powers) discovers the kindness of strangers, a pompous banker (Bob Cummings) gets his comeuppance and a sweet woman with a bad reputation (Ann-Margret) finds love with the Ringo Kid (Alex Cord), a duty-bound cowboy set on revenge.

Seven Thieves

Theo Wilkins (Edward G. Robinson), a disgraced American science professor, recruits Paul Mason (Rod Steiger), a thief who has recently been released from jail, to help him with one final heist on the French Riviera. Theo's crack team also includes Melanie (Joan Collins), a beautiful dancer, and Poncho (Eli Wallach), a saxophonist. While the group has a brilliant plot for the multimillion-dollar robbery, rising tensions and unexpected twists threaten their chance to escape with a fortune.

Emperor of the North

A legendary hobo, A No.1 (Lee Marvin) is renowned for his expertise in riding the rails for free, but he meets his match with Shack (Ernest Borgnine), a fierce railroad conductor who mercilessly kicks stowaways off of his train. Joined by brash young hobo Cigaret (Keith Carradine), A No.1 manages to elude Shack but issues a challenge to the heavily armed conductor, announcing that he will ride the train for its entire route, leading to a violent showdown between the two strong-willed men.

The Tamarind Seed

On vacation from her job in the civil service, Judith Farrow (Julie Andrews) heads to the Caribbean where she befriends a debonair Russian named Feodor Sverdlov (Omar Sharif). The two quickly fall in love, but Judith's feelings are tested when Sverdlov is revealed to be a Russian agent eager to win her over to his cause. Back at home, Judith is instructed never to see him again, but can't shake the attachment, and soon finds that both of their lives are in danger.

The Osterman Weekend

An outspoken television personality, John Tanner (Rutger Hauer) has an annual tradition of going away with three college buddies. However, when Tanner is informed that these friends -- Bernard Osterman (Craig T. Nelson), Richard Tremayne (Dennis Hopper) and Joseph Cardone (Chris Sarandon) -- are part of a Soviet spy network, it adds considerable conflict to their getaway, a tension heightened by an enigmatic spy named Lawrence Fassett (John Hurt), who has unclear motives.

Deadfall

Henry (Michael Caine) is an alcoholic cat burglar finishing up a drying-out stint at a sanatorium. He's approached by an Italian belle, Fé (Giovanna Ralli), who has a proposition: She and her husband, Richard (Eric Portman), are planning to rob the millionaire Salinas (David Buck) when he's at a concert, and they need a thief to do it. After the heist, Henry, Fé and Richard retreat to the couple's Spanish villa, where hidden truths and scandalous secrets slowly come out.

The Snake Pit

In this psychological drama, Virginia Cunningham (Olivia de Havilland) is confused upon finding herself in a mental hospital, with no memory of her arrival at the institution. Tormented by delusions and unable to even recognize her husband, Robert (Mark Stevens), she is treated by Dr. Mark Kik (Leo Genn), who is determined to get to the root of her mental illness. As her treatment progresses, flashbacks depict events in Virginia's life that may have contributed to her instability.

Whirlpool

Plagued by an overwhelming urge to shoplift, Ann Sutton (Gene Tierney) is helped out of a tight spot by David Korvo (Jose Ferrer). Unfortunately for Ann, Korvo is a conniving hypnotist who draws her into a web of deception and murder through his mind-altering abilities and frames her for his misdeeds. While Ann's psychiatrist husband, Bill (Richard Conte), believes that his wife didn't commit the crimes, Korvo's devious scheme makes proving her innocence quite difficult.

An escaped convict (Dennis O'Keefe) flees with his moll (Claire Trevor) and a social worker (Marsha Hunt) he loves.

The Hitch-Hiker

Ray (Edmond O'Brien) and Gilbert's (Frank Lovejoy) fishing trip takes a terrifying turn when the hitchhiker (William Talman) they pick up turns out to be a sociopath on the run from the law. He's killed before, and he lets the two know that as soon as they're no longer useful, he'll kill again. The two friends plot an escape, but the hitchhiker's peculiar physical affliction, an eye that never closes even when he sleeps, make it impossible for them to tell when they can make a break for it.
