Palm Springs Weekend
Love is the game for a group of college students letting loose in Palm Springs, Calif. For basketball player Jim Munroe (Troy Donahue), the attractive Bunny Dixon (Stefanie Powers) quickly becomes the object of his affection. Jim's friend Biff is after the sporty Amanda. As the adults -- including the local police chief, a hotel owner and a basketball coach -- try to keep order, the kids make connections that may, or may not, continue back on campus.
Let's Make Love
One of the wealthiest men in the world, Jean-Marc Clement (Yves Montand) is rich in money, but lacking in love. While seeking someone who adores him for his personality rather than his fortune, Clement learns that he is the subject of a satirical theater production. Unrecognized as he visits the play's set, Clement is offered the part as himself by the show's unwitting producers, and he takes the gig to be close to the gorgeous yet down-to-earth actress Amanda Dell (Marilyn Monroe).
The Best of Everything
Three ambitious working girls of 1950s Manhattan share their secretarial work and later a home together: Gregg (Suzy Parker) is an aspiring actress whose director is using her; April (Diane Baker) is left pregnant and alone; and Caroline (Hope Lange) finds solace in the arms of an editor (Stephen Boyd). Together the three contend with romantic disappointments, office politics and the threat that their dreams for a fulfilling career will be cut short by marriage, children and inertia.
A Handful of Dust
English aristocrat Tony Last (James Wilby) welcomes tragedy into his life when he invites John Beaver (Rupert Graves) to visit his vast estate. There Beaver makes the acquaintance of Tony's wife, Brenda (Kristin Scott Thomas). Together, they continue their relationship in a series of bedroom assignations in London. Trusting to a fault, Tony is unaware that anything is amiss until his wife suddenly asks for a divorce. With his life in turmoil, Tony goes on a haphazard journey to South America.

After the Civil War, Union troops catch Belle Shirley (Gene Tierney), a Southern belle, harboring the wanted Confederate guerrilla fighter Sam Starr (Randolph Scott). In retribution, Union major and old friend Thomas Crail (Dana Andrews) must follow orders by burning down their home and arresting Shirley's brother (John Shepperd). Incensed, Shirley springs Starr from jail and joins his rebels. But after marrying Starr, Shirley discovers the outlaw life is not what she thought it would be.

After hired hand Tom Chaney (Jeff Corey) murders the father of 14-year-old Mattie Ross (Kim Darby), she seeks vengeance and hires U.S. Marshal Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne), a man of true grit, to track Chaney into Indian territory. As the two begin their pursuit, a Texas Ranger, La Boeuf (Glen Campbell), joins the manhunt in hopes of capturing Chaney for the murder of a Texas senator and collecting a substantial reward. The three clash on their quest of bringing to justice the same man.

Boston heiress Charlotte Vale (Bette Davis) is a neurotic mess, largely because of her domineering mother (Gladys Cooper). But after a stint in a sanatorium where she receives the attention of Dr. Asquith (Claude Rains), Charlotte comes out of her shell and elects to go on a cruise. Aboard ship, she meets Jerry (Paul Henreid) and falls in love, despite his being married. They enjoy a brief tryst in Rio before returning to the States, where Charlotte struggles to forget him and find happiness.

Tattered and forlorn, Eve shows up in the dressing room of Broadway mega-star Margo Channing, telling a melancholy life story to Margo and her friends. Margo takes Eve under her wing, and it appears that Eve is a conniver that uses Margo.
A Stolen Life
Reserved Kate Bosworth (Bette Davis) returns home to Cape Cod to work on her painting, and meets and falls in love with young engineer Bill Emerson (Glenn Ford), who is working at the lighthouse for the summer. When Bill meets Kate's twin, Pat, he mistakes her for Kate and is confused by and drawn to her charged sensuality. Heartbroken when Bill marries Pat, Kate buries herself in her work and the coaching of angry artist Karnock (Dane Clark), until an improbable situation arises involving Bill.
Blithe Spirit
Skeptical novelist Charles Condomine (Rex Harrison) invites self-proclaimed medium Madame Arcati (Margaret Rutherford) to his home for a séance, hoping to gather material for a new book. When the hapless psychic accidentally summons the spirit of Condomine's late wife, Elvira (Kay Hammond), his home and life are quickly turned into a shambles as his wife's ghost torments both himself and his new bride, Ruth (Constance Cummings). David Lean directed this adaptation of Noel Coward's hit play.

There's a deficit of good, honest women in the West, and Roy Whitman (John McIntire) wants to change that. His solution is to bring a caravan of over 100 mail-order brides from Chicago to California. It will be a long, difficult and dangerous journey for the women. So Whitman hires hardened, cynical Buck Wyatt (Robert Taylor) to be their guide across the inhospitable frontier. But as disaster strikes on the trail, Buck just might discover that these women are stronger than he thinks.
