Kate's father, Daniel (Hank Azaria), secretly works in pornography, while her mother, Lucy (Kelly Preston), has come out of the closet, outraging Lucy's sister, Alice (Debra Winger). As secrets emerge, Kate fights her attraction to ex-boyfriend Ryan (Jesse Bradford).
