College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Alabama at Arkansas

The No. 3 Crimson Tide (19-3, 8-1 SEC) roll into this matchup with the Razorbacks (14-8, 3-6). Alabama has won five of six meetings since 2020-21, taking down Arkansas 92-88 last season. The Crimson Tide are riding a five-game winning streak.

Marquette at Creighton

The No. 11 Golden Eagles (18-5, 9-3 Big East) face the Bluejays (17-6, 10-2). Creighton's eight-game win streak began after losing to Marquette on Jan. 3. Marquette dropped back-to-back games for the first time this season, to UConn and St. John's.

Penn State at UCLA

The Nittany Lions (13-10, 3-9 Big Ten) begin a two-game Los Angeles stay by facing the Bruins (17-6, 8-4). UCLA is 12-1 at home, and boasts a six-game win streak after defeating No. 9 Michigan State 63-61 on Feb. 4 behind Skyy Clark's 14 points.

Texas Tech at Arizona

The No. 13 Red Raiders (18-4, 9-2) and No. 20 Wildcats (16-6, 10-1) streak into this Big 12 clash at the McKale Center. Texas Tech boasts a seven-game win streak. Arizona has won five straight and 12 of its last 13. The loss came at Texas Tech 70-54.

St. Mary's at Oregon State

The Beavers look to spring another home shocker in West Coast Conference play when the Gaels visit. This is the first meeting between the schools since the 1968-1969 campaign. Oregon State already defeated WCC heavyweight Gonzaga at home this season.

Colorado State at New Mexico

The Lobos (18-4, 10-1) and Rams (14-7, 8-2) carry four-game win streaks into their Mountain West Conference showdown. New Mexico has won 11 of its last 12, including a 76-68 victory over Colorado State. The Lobos have won six straight at The Pit.
