\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

The Fighting Camels make their first trip to Hempstead, N.Y., to face the Pride. Campbell earned a 69-68 home win over Hofstra last season in the first meeting between the schools. Camels forward Colby Duggan contributed seven points off the bench.

Georgetown at Providence

The Friars seek their eighth consecutive victory over the Big East rival Hoyas. Each team last played against Villanova. Georgetown prevailed 64-63 on Jan. 20. Providence lost 75-73 on Jan. 17. The Hoyas have split four conference road games.

Pittsburgh at Syracuse

The Orange try for their third straight win over the Panthers in an ACC affair. Pittsburgh's slide reached four games after a 78-75 decision against Clemson in overtime on Jan. 18. Jaland Lowe paces Pitt with 17.3 points and 5.7 assists per outing.

Howard at Norfolk State

The Spartans (13-8, 3-1) host the Bison (8-11, 3-0) in a clash atop the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference table. Both schools are led by high-scoring guards in Howard's Blake Harper (18.8 points per game) and Norfolk State's Brian Moore Jr. (18.4 ppg).

Mississippi State at South Carolina

The No. 14 Bulldogs visit the SEC foe Gamecocks. Mississippi State topped South Carolina 85-50 on Jan. 4. Bulldogs guard Josh Hubbard scored 21 points in that game. Mississippi State lost its last two on the road, to No. 1 Auburn and No. 6 Tennessee.

North Carolina at Wake Forest

The Demon Deacons (14-4, 6-1) surge into their ACC game against the Tar Heels (12-7, 5-2). Wake Forest has won five straight behind Hunter Sallis, who averages 19.5 points per outing. North Carolina comes off a stunning 72-71 setback versus Stanford.

Michigan State at Rutgers

The No. 8 Spartans take an 11-game win streak into their Big Ten road test against the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers boasts the freshman backcourt tandem of Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper, who combine to average 39.2 points and 13 rebounds per outing.

Creighton at DePaul

The Bluejays fly with the Blue Demons. DePaul snapped a 39-game regular-season losing streak to Big East opponents by winning 73-68 at Georgetown on Jan. 17. Creighton has won five of its past six after upsetting then-No. 14 UConn 68-63 on Jan. 18.

Butler at Connecticut

The Bulldogs run with the No. 19 Huskies. Butler prevailed over Seton Hall 82-77 on Jan. 15, ending a nine-game drought. Bulldogs forward Pierre Brooks II had 19 points in the victory. UConn has dropped two its past three after losing to Creighton.

Syracuse at Clemson

The Orange clash with the Tigers at Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson has won three straight meetings after sweeping Syracuse in 2023-24. Clemson has also won three in a row in 2024-25, beating Pittsburgh in overtime Jan. 18 to keep the streak alive.

Xavier at St. John's

The No. 20 Red Storm (16-3, 7-1 Big East) surge into a meeting with the Musketeers (12-7, 4-4). St. John's rides a five-game win streak with junior guard RJ Luis Jr. averaging 22.2 points and 8.4 rebounds during the run. Xavier won its last three.

Indiana at Northwestern

The Wildcats host the Hoosiers. Indiana last played Jan. 17, outlasting Ohio State 77-76 in overtime. Northwestern's past two games also went to OT with the Wildcats going 1-1. Brooks Barnhizer (NU) has nine double-doubles in 14 games this season.
