NCAAM

College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Saint Louis at Loyola-Chicago

The Billikens drop in on the Ramblers. Loyola Chicago swept the 2023-24 season series versus Saint Louis. Ramblers leading scorer Des Watson hit the game-high in each of those matchups, totaling 44 points. Loyola Chicago is 12-1 at home in 2024-25.

Quinnipiac at Sacred Heart

The Bobcats pay the Pioneers a visit. Sacred Heart has won five in a row. On Dec. 8, 2024, Quinnipiac beat Sacred Heart 83-73 behind Khaden Bennett's career-high 23 points. Amarri Monroe (QUIN) is averaging 26.5 points across his past four outings.

Ohio at Kent State

The Bobcats visit the Golden Flashes. Ohio beat Kent State for a third straight time Jan. 24, with Jackson Paveletzke's free throws securing a 61-59 decision for the Bobcats. Paveletzke matched the game-high with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

UCLA at Indiana

The Hoosiers begin a three-game stint at home when they welcome the Bruins for a Big Ten clash. Indiana is 11-3 at the Assembly Hall, but lost their last three on their home court. Malik Reneau averaged 14.8 points in those 11 games for Indiana.

Florida at Mississippi State

The No. 3 Gators (20-3, 7-3 SEC), fresh off a big win, visit the No. 22 Bulldogs (17-6, 5-5). Florida snapped then-No. 1 Auburn's 14-game win streak with a 90-81 road victory on Feb. 8. Walter Clayton Jr. led Florida with 19 points and nine assists.

Auburn at Vanderbilt

The No. 1 Tigers (21-2, 9-1 SEC) try to bounce back by visiting the Commodores (17-6, 5-5). Auburn took its first loss since Dec. 4, 2024, when it fell 90-81 at home to Florida on Feb. 8. Vanderbilt has dropped seven of its last eight against Auburn.

Syracuse at Miami

The Orange visit the Hurricanes for an ACC affair. Syracuse has split its last four road games. Syracuse never trailed in the third overtime en route to a 95-86 win over Boston College on Feb. 8. J.J. Starling (SYR) scored 28 points in that contest.

The Mountaineers and Cougars meet for the first time since 1974. Both are 15-8, and 6-6 in the Big 12. West Virginia has won two of its last three games after a 72-61 victory over Utah. Mountaineers guard Javon Small averages 18.9 points per outing.

Connecticut at Creighton

The No. 24 Bluejays (18-6, 11-2 Big East) seek a 10th straight victory as they host the Huskies (16-7, 8-4). Creighton's run included a 68-63 verdict at UConn, which comes off a 68-62 loss versus then-No. 12 St. John's. The Bluejays are 12-1 at home.

Penn State at USC

The Nittany Lions visit the Trojans for a Big Ten game. Penn State has dropped five straight following a 78-54 decision at UCLA. USC sophomore guard Wesley Yates III scored a career-high 30 points in a 90-72 loss at then-No. 7 Purdue on Feb. 7.
