NCAAM
College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Boston College at Wake Forest
NCAAMThe Eagles (6-3) play their first true road game in an ACC opener against the Demon Deacons (7-3). Both teams come off setbacks in ACC/SEC Challenge contests. Wake Forest has won 15 of 29 meetings since Boston College joined the ACC in 2005.
Georgia Tech at North Carolina
NCAAMThe No. 20 Tar Heels (4-4) and Yellow Jackets (4-4) open up their ACC schedules for 2024-25. Georgia Tech snapped a three-game skid in its series against North Carolina with a one-point home win Jan. 30. UNC has dropped three in a row.
Duke at Louisville
NCAAMFreshman sensation Cooper Flagg's No. 9 Blue Devils (6-2, 0-0) visit the KCF Yum! Center for an ACC opener versus the Cardinals (5-3, 0-0). Flagg, a 6-foot-9 guard, goes for 16.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Duke has won five straight meetings.
Miami vs Tennessee
NCAAMThe Volunteers (8-0) and Hurricanes (3-6) play in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden. While Tennessee has outscored foes by an average of 26.8 points per game, Miami has lost six straight after dropping its ACC opener to Clemson on Dec. 7.

Kansas State at St. John's
NCAAMThe Red Storm (6-2) host the Wildcats (6-2) in the first game at Carnesecca Arena since the Hall of Fame coach died. Lou Carnesecca passed away on Dec. 2 at age 99. He went 526-200 at St. John's from 1965 to 1992, reaching the Final Four in 1985.

NCAAMAnother chapter of the Ocean State Rivalry is written as the unbeaten Rams host the Friars. Providence has won three straight meetings, and is 11-2 versus Rhode Island since 2010. However, the Rams won two of the last three matchups in Kingston, R.I.
Nebraska at Michigan State
NCAAMConnor Essegian and the Cornhuskers start their Big Ten slate by visiting the Spartans. Essegian, a 6-foot-4 junior guard, averages 14.7 points per game after totaling 51 in his last two. Nebraska halted an 11-game series slide last season.
Wisconsin at Marquette
NCAAMAn elite matchup in America's Dairyland sees No. 11 Wisconsin visit No. 5 Marquette. The last time the I-94 Rivalry game had two nationally-ranked sides in 2011, Darius Johnson-Odom's 17 points led the No. 16 Golden Eagles by the No. 9 Badgers 61-54.
