\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

NCAAMThe No. 6 Volunteers try to stay perfect at home as they brace for the No. 14 Bulldogs. Mississippi State has won the last two meetings. Tennessee improved to 10-0 at Thompson-Boling Arena with a 74-56 decision over then-No. 23 Georgia on Jan. 15.
Vanderbilt at Alabama
NCAAMThe No. 4 Crimson Tide (15-3, 4-1 SEC) brace for the upset-minded Commodores (15-3, 3-2). Vanderbilt surprised then-No. 6 Tennessee 76-75 on Jan. 18, while Alabama outscored then-No. 8 Kentucky 102-97 behind Mark Sears' 24 points and nine assists.
Boston College at Virginia
NCAAMThe Cavaliers try to continue their success against the Eagles in an ACC affair. Virginia has won two consecutive meetings, and 12 of the last 14. The Cavaliers also boast an eight-game win streak against the Eagles at John Paul Jones Arena.
Texas Tech at Cincinnati
NCAAMThe Red Raiders run into the Bearcats. Both schools have won their past two games. Simas Lukosius scored a team-high 16 points to help Cincinnati take down Texas Tech 75-72 on Feb. 3, 2024. Lukosius paces Cincy with 12.4 points per game this season.
Butler at Connecticut
NCAAMThe Bulldogs run with the No. 19 Huskies. Butler prevailed over Seton Hall 82-77 on Jan. 15, ending a nine-game drought. Bulldogs forward Pierre Brooks II had 19 points in the victory. UConn has dropped two its past three after losing to Creighton.
VCU at Rhode Island
NCAAMAtlantic 10 Rams bang heads as VCU visits Rhode Island. VCU has won its last four games, and four straight over Rhode Island to even the series 11-11. Rhode Island senior guard Sebastian Thomas has scored 20 or more points in his last eight outings.

Loyola-Chicago at Dayton
NCAAMThe Flyers welcome the Ramblers to University of Dayton Arena for an Atlantic 10 engagement. Dayton has won two of three meetings since Loyola Chicago joined the A-10 for the 2022-23 season. The Ramblers are 2-1 in true road games this campaign.
Notre Dame at Syracuse
NCAAMThe Orange (8-9, 2-4 ACC) try to exact revenge on the Fighting Irish (8-9, 2-4). Notre Dame won 69-64 on Dec. 7, 2024, to snap a three-game slide against Syracuse. Sophomore Braeden Shrewsberry matched his career high with 25 points for the Irish.
California at NC State
NCAAMThe Golden Bears complete their trip through the Tar Heel State by taking on the ACC foe Wolfpack. NC State is 9-2 at Lenovo Center. The programs last met in the 2006 NCAA Tournament, when NC State ousted California 58-52 in the first round.
East Tennessee State at Samford
NCAAMThe Bulldogs (15-3, 5-0 SoCon) host the Buccaneers (10-8, 3-2). Samford has won six straight over East Tennessee State, including the 2024 Southern Conference Tournament final, and stayed perfect in league play by surviving Mercer 75-74 on Jan. 15.
St. John's at Seton Hall
NCAAMThe Red Storm look for a fifth straight victory when they cross the Hudson River to visit the Pirates in Big East play. St. John's sits at 6-1 in the conference following its current run, with RJ Luis Jr. averaging 21.8 points during the streak.
UNLV at San Diego State
NCAAMThe Aztecs aim to continue climbing the Mountain West Conference standings as they host the Rebels. San Diego State defeated Colorado State on Jan. 14 to move to 4-2 in MWC play. UNLV is 3-23 against San Diego State since the start of 2013-14.
