College football is a sport that has been played for over 150 years. It is one of the most popular and beloved sports in the United States, with hundreds of millions of fans cheering on their favourite college football teams every fall. College football is a game in which teams of student-athletes from universities and colleges compete against each other in an exciting and thrilling battle of offensive and defensive football. The sport consists of 11-on-11 matches, usually played on Saturdays during the fall months in stadiums across America. College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. The teams are decided by each school's football conference - e.g. the SEC, the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and more. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. The most popular college football teams in the country are Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, and LSU Tigers. Some of the most popular current college football players are Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, Ian Book, Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, and Jonathan Taylor. The history of College football is filled with legendary teams and players, such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Michigan Wolverines, Charles Woodson, and Marcus Mariota. Some of the most memorable games in College Football history include the 1969 ‘Game of the Century’ between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. In the end, college football is a game of heart, hard work, and passion. It is an exciting sport that has produced some of the greatest memories and moments in sports history. North Carolina Central at South Carolina State

The Eagles visit the Bulldogs. North Carolina Central has won five in a row, while South Carolina State's streak stands at four games. Now-graduated quarterback Davius Richard totaled seven TDs for NC Central in a 62-28 romp of SC State in 2023.

Auburn at Kentucky

The Tigers face the Wildcats at Kroger Field. Auburn leads the seldom-seen SEC series 27-6-1 and won the last meeting 29-13 during a season opener in 2020. Senior wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith (AUB) has made six touchdown grabs this season.

Oklahoma at Ole Miss

The No. 18 Rebels (5-2, 1-2 SEC) try to get well against the struggling Sooners (4-3, 1-3). Ole Miss lost at then-No. 13 LSU 29-26 in overtime on Oct. 12. Oklahoma dropped its last two, totaling 12 points against then-No. 1 Texas and South Carolina.

Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech

The Yellow Jackets take on the Hokies. Virginia Tech leads the all-time series 11-8, but Georgia Tech won the last battle 28-27 on Nov. 5, 2022. Zach Pyron, who filled in for the injured Haynes King on Oct. 19, totaled two TDs in that 2022 outing.

Illinois at Oregon

The Ducks (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) are No. 1 for the first time since 2012 as they host the No. 20 Fighting Illini (6-1, 3-1). The new conference foes last met in 1995. Illinois owns three wins over ranked opponents after beating then-No. 24 Michigan 21-7.

SMU at Duke

The No. 22 Mustangs visit the Blue Devils. SMU has piled up 182 points during its four-game run, with quarterback Kevin Jennings producing nine TDs in that stretch. Duke bounced back from its first loss of the season by beating Florida State 23-16.

The Terrapins line up against the Golden Gophers. Maryland's Billy Edwards Jr. came into Week 9 ranked eighth in the nation with 2,113 passing yards. The senior quarterback scored a last-minute touchdown to push Maryland past USC 29-28 on Oct. 19.

Nebraska at Ohio State

The No. 4 Buckeyes (5-1, 2-1 Big Ten) look to bounce back as they host the Cornhuskers (5-2, 2-2). On Oct. 12, Ohio State saw its unbeaten season broken up by then-No. 3 Oregon 32-31 before the bye. Ohio State has won seven in a row over Nebraska.
