College football is a sport that has been played for over 150 years. It is one of the most popular and beloved sports in the United States, with hundreds of millions of fans cheering on their favourite college football teams every fall. College football is a game in which teams of student-athletes from universities and colleges compete against each other in an exciting and thrilling battle of offensive and defensive football. The sport consists of 11-on-11 matches, usually played on Saturdays during the fall months in stadiums across America. College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. The teams are decided by each school's football conference - e.g. the SEC, the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and more. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. The most popular college football teams in the country are Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, and LSU Tigers. The history of College football is filled with legendary teams and players, such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Michigan Wolverines, Charles Woodson, and Marcus Mariota. Some of the most memorable games in College Football history include the 1969 ‘Game of the Century’ between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. Rutgers at Michigan State
NCAAFThe Spartans (5-6, 3-5 Big Ten) try to become bowl-eligible as they host the Scarlet Knights (6-5, 3-5). Michigan State last appeared in a bowl game in 2021. Rutgers erased an 18-point second-half deficit to defeat Michigan State 27-24 in 2023.
Duke at Wake Forest
NCAAFThe Blue Devils duke it out with the Demon Deacons. Duke has defeated Wake Forest by three points in back-to-back meetings, with last year's win coming via buzzer-beating field goal. Duke comes off a three-point victory over Virginia Tech on Nov. 23.
Texas at Texas A&M
NCAAFAn old rivalry is renewed as the No. 20 Aggies (8-3, 5-2 SEC) host the No. 3 Longhorns (10-1, 6-1). The winner books a spot in the SEC championship Dec. 7. Texas leads a series first played in 1894, but not contested since 2011, by a 76-37-5 margin.
Oregon State at Boise State
NCAAFThe No. 11 Broncos (10-1) try to maintain their College Football Playoff standing as they host the Beavers (5-6). Boise State clinched a spot in the Mountain West championship game on Dec. 6 with a workmanlike 17-13 victory at Wyoming last week.
Florida at Florida State
NCAAFThe Sunshine Showdown completes the regular season for the Gators (6-5) and Seminoles (2-9). Florida has reeled off back-to-back stunners, taking down then-No. 22 LSU and then-No. 9 Ole Miss. Florida State tries to avoid its worst season since 1974.
Virginia at Virginia Tech
NCAAFAnother leg of the Commonwealth Clash gets underway when Virginia Tech hosts Virginia. The Cavaliers lead the ongoing 2024-25 Clash 5-0. However, the Hokies have won three straight meetings on the gridiron, and 22 of the past 24 overall.
South Carolina at Clemson
NCAAFThe No. 15 Gamecocks face the No. 12 Tigers in the Palmetto Bowl. Both schools remain on the CFP bubble. South Carolina has won five in a row, while Clemson's streak stands at three. Clemson has won eight of the past nine versus South Carolina.

NCAAFNo. 8 Tennessee tries to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff as it visits Volunteer State rival Vanderbilt. Tennessee totaled 219 points in winning the last five meetings. The Volunteers have been eliminated from SEC title game contention.
Michigan at Ohio State
NCAAFFamed rivals in the No. 2 Buckeyes and Wolverines meet for the 120th time. Michigan leads 61-52-6 after winning the last three meetings. With a victory, Ohio State clinches a Big Ten championship-game berth opposite Oregon on Dec. 7.
Duke at Wake Forest
