MLBMajor League Baseball (MLB) is the premier baseball league in the United States and Canada, composed of 30 teams divided into the American League and National League. Established in 1903, MLB is the oldest of the four major professional sports leagues in North America. MLB is highly popular, with an international fan base and generates billions of dollars in revenue each year. Over the course of each season, each team plays a total of 162 games, between April and October.
Teams are split into divisions, with the top teams in each division going on to compete in the playoffs. During playoffs, teams have a chance to qualify for the World Series, the championship series in MLB. The World Series has been incredibly competitive throughout its history, with several teams fighting for the championship in a best-of-seven playoff series.

In 2020, the Los Angeles Dodgers won their first World Series in 32 years, while the Boston Red Sox became the first team to win consecutive seasons since 2000.
