NFL

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America and the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL is one of the most popular professional sports leagues in the world, with fans and players from around the globe. The regular season of the NFL runs from early September to mid December, consisting of 17 weeks of games. Each team plays 16 games out of their respective conference and has one bye week to rest and prepare for the rest of the season. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are single-elimination brackets, which determine the two teams that will play in the championship game, the Super Bowl. The NFL has a long and distinguished history. It was founded in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association before changing its name to the National Football League in 1922. The first Super Bowl was held in 1967 and has since become the most watched sporting event in the world. Legendary players like Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and Lawrence Taylor are considered some of the greatest players in the history of the league. The NFL boasts some of the most successful teams in sports history, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and the New England Patriots. Philadelphia Eagles at Baltimore Ravens

Super Bowl contenders collide as the Ravens host the Eagles. Saquon Barkley racked up a stunning 302 yards from scrimmage with two TDs in the Eagles' Week 12 victory over the Rams. Lamar Jackson (BAL) accounted for three TDs in a win at the Chargers.

Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs

The AFC-leading Chiefs try to keep the West rival Raiders down on Black Friday. Kansas City (10-1) has won eight games by seven or fewer points, including a 27-20 victory over Las Vegas in Week 8. The Raiders (2-9) are mired in a seven-game slide.

Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots

Indianapolis visits New England. Entering Week 13, Colts defensive players Zaire Franklin, Nick Cross and E.J. Speed all ranked top-five in the NFL in total tackles, with Franklin's 123 pacing the league. Indy is 2-1 playing AFC East foes in 2024.

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions

The Packers take a swing at the rival Lions. Green Bay has won three straight since falling 24-14 to Detroit before its bye. The Lions seek their first 11-game win streak in franchise history after hanging on to beat the Bears 23-20 on Thanksgiving.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals (4-7) are running out of time as they host the AFC North rival Steelers (8-3). Cincinnati dropped three of its last four entering the bye. First-place Pittsburgh had a five-game win streak snapped in the Cleveland snow, 24-19 in Week 12.

The Steelers (8-2) and Browns (2-8) renew hostilities. Pittsburgh stands firmly atop the AFC North after beating Baltimore for a fifth straight victory Nov. 17. Steelers kicker Chris Boswell leads all NFL players with 107 points scored this season.

The Eagles soar into a Sunday-night date with the Rams. Philadelphia is 6-0 since its bye after beating Washington to stretch its NFC East lead Nov. 14. Los Angeles is 4-1 since its week off, and tries to avenge a 23-14 home loss to Philly in 2023.

The Ravens (7-4) are spitting feathers as they visit the red-hot Chargers (7-3). Baltimore missed a chance to take the AFC North lead with an 18-16 loss at Pittsburgh in Week 11. Los Angeles has won four straight after surviving Cincinnati 34-27.
