NFL

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America and the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL is one of the most popular professional sports leagues in the world, with fans and players from around the globe. The regular season of the NFL runs from early September to mid December, consisting of 17 weeks of games. Each team plays 16 games out of their respective conference and has one bye week to rest and prepare for the rest of the season. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are single-elimination brackets, which determine the two teams that will play in the championship game, the Super Bowl. The NFL has a long and distinguished history. It was founded in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association before changing its name to the National Football League in 1922. The first Super Bowl was held in 1967 and has since become the most watched sporting event in the world. Legendary players like Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and Lawrence Taylor are considered some of the greatest players in the history of the league. Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

The Bengals (4-5) try to keep clawing their way back into contention by exacting revenge on the Ravens (6-3). Baltimore defeated Cincinnati for the third straight time, 41-38 in overtime on Oct. 6. The Bengals beat the Raiders 41-24 last week.

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles

First place is at stake in the NFC East when the Eagles (7-2) host the upstart Commanders (7-3). Philadelphia has won five straight after routing rival Dallas 34-6. Washington has surged into contention behind rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks

The 49ers and Seahawks limp into Thursday Night Football. The clubs come off upset losses at home. San Francisco fell to Arizona 24-23. Seattle's stunning 29-20 setback against the New York Giants was cemented on a blocked field-goal return for a TD.

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

AFC North supremacy is on the line when the Steelers (7-2) host the Ravens (7-3). Pittsburgh owns a four-game win streak after outlasting Washington 28-27. Baltimore stopped a late two-point conversion bid by Cincinnati to prevail 35-34 in Week 10.
